X-Ring rifle stocks

They are making a laminated wood stock based off of the Robertson pattern. They are also a father and son business. From what I have heard / seen their stocks are very straight and wonderfully smooth, ready for inletting the minute you get them. I have seen 2 with inlets and both were drop in ready.

Xring's are cut on a CNC router, not a mill, so the higher router spindle speeds eliminate most blow outs or miss cuts.

If I remember right when i spoke to Sticks from texas he used / uses a few and recommended them highly.

Thanks for the info Greg!

I just wanted to hear a little bit about them since I couldn't find anything quickly. Love to keep my money with the small guys since I am a one man shop myself.

Eddie,

If its any consolation the word that I am hearing from people buying my bordens is that X-Ring is the new hot thing. There are some big names moving to their stocks in both F-Class and BR

Hello everyone,
X-Ring IS what everyone said above...in fact I just picked up my stock from Bob on Saturday. Yes he is a father son business that utilizes a router and from what I have seen is producing a fantastic product! His shop is smaller but its plenty for what is needed for an awesome setup! Bob and his son are top notch and proof is in the product. Am I happy with my purchase... absolutely!!! Yes I will purchase again and tell Bob that Harvey sent you.

They really do pride themselves on quality and the attention to detail of their products.
I have two of their stocks and they're a thing of beauty.
They're just not a thing of beauty either they're also dimensionally straight and square. When you see the process they use to prevent torqueing and twisting it's impressive.
I think people will be very surprised how many good shooters have switch over to XRING Rifle Stocks at 2016 Nationals shooters.

Greg,

Can you give any details about their Fclass stocks? I have a Panda action coming and needing an Fopen stock?
I plan on contacting them, but was wondering if you could hurry my learning curve.

Thanks

I purchased a rifle with one if these stocks from JBO. Like it so much the second one is at the shop with a new Borden being assembled as we speak!

Anyone have a close weight of on one of the long range benchrest stocks with just adjustable cheek hardware and a basic inlet?

I'm looking at one of these also for a new build. Just haven't Heard too much about them so it makes me some what nervous to try one.

Since discontinuing my line of stocks I have had a couple in the shop now. They are very nice stocks. I also had the opportunity to shoot the owners personal gun with the Robertson last fall at a match. It was the straightest tracking stock I have shot to date, and Ive tried quite a few of the big names out there. Tracked like it was on rails. I am recommending their Robertson to all my customers now. I will also be using it on all my future personal builds. Great product, great price, great people and fast turnaround time. Check their site out and you will see they offer a superior product with the process they use.

Does it need adjustable hardware or is it a good fit for fclass shooting?

I spoke with them a few times this week. Most people are using the adjustable hardware or the RAD hydraulic system. Otherwise, the LOP is pretty short (I think). He said he was going to work on another program to accommodate those wanting to simply slap on a recoil pad. Give them a call.

I saw a red & black laminate last week and absolutely fell in love. Ordered one in blue & black and started selling stuff here to help finance. There are a fair number of them here in North TX, and all look nice. But that clear coat on the laminate was friggin beautiful...

I talked to them and Speedy. Definitely going Xring. Seem like they are about to be big and I'll get in before the wait list grows to several months

Anyone have idea how much the Robertson model weighs ?

Might have to add a couple pounds go help balance rifle

Mine was started this past Tuesday. Excited to see how it turns out. Going with RAD system and adjustable cheek piece.
