WWII Mauser 98

Leave it as is! It’s a piece of history, and original WWII Mauser are getting scarce.PM me some pics and I’ll help identify it, where and when it was made, etc

If the rifle is authentic and you would want to sell it down the road it would be better imho to leave it as it is. Collectors are a funny lot. They like things to be original. However if your Mauser is/was pieced together with mismatching parts then by all means sport it. Ultimately, op, it's your rife to do with what you want. This is just my 2 cents worth. Good luck and God bless.

I am a lover of modified/sporterized military rifles. I like them much more than the original military version. Probably because they are more useful to me.

My rule of thumb is this:

If the rifle has no modifications and is in original military format, it's actually cheaper to sell the rifle and buy a sporter and you will have money left over in your pocket.
