Workspace and storage solutions

Bolt Gun Bodacious
Thought I would start a thread about sharing reloading workspace and storage solution ideas.

This is my reloading bench and shelves - L - shaped with a good amt of storage. Temp / humidity controlled.

Here is my range gear storage in the garage. It's not temperature controlled but this stuff only ever goes from the shelf into the back of the truck to the range then back home again.

How about yours?

I’ll post my latest change in brass storage. I was using Zip loc bags and putting notes inside with the brass. My favorite restaurant was giving me my doggy bag in plastic bins. I started cleaning them up and using them. A couple days ago, I went to a local restaurant supply and found them for sale at 40 cents each for the larger size AE58BA53-2CA5-428F-A31C-E794E09A130D.jpegwith lids. I bought a bunch. They’re fairly tough and stackable.

Good day,

Similar items also available at your local WallyWorld.

Temperature and humidity controlled. I just used a spare bedroom and turned it into my reloading room. It used to be in the basement but it is much more comfortable in my living quarters. Truly is my man cave! I would dare not to show you my powder primer and bullet shelves if I did I would have to release the white face hornets out of the nest on ya!964726E4-7829-4BEB-BD0C-45D3112D30AF.jpeg25E4984B-FA04-48F2-81EB-18BB85CDEE97.jpeg

Although I no longer reload, I believe in cleanliness and organization.
There is a place for everything, and everything has a place. When you finish w/a tool, put it back where it belongs. Be so repetitious that you could work in your room in the dark. That could be called insanity, but I prefer to call it organization. I'm w/Josh among others who puts notes in brass containers. That way there is no mistake as to the stage of that brass.
I will be finished w/the last step while you are still looking through your clutter for a tool. Your Mileage may vary. LDS

My range "stuff", rest, bags, spotting scope, etc., stays in the truck bed 99% of the time as I have a locking tonneau cover on the truck. Makes life easier for me. I use empty plastic coffee tubs for brass storage, both dirty and clean, just labeled for that particular gun/caliber, as well as ammo cans for all the prepped 223 brass I've got. Even some tupperware type storage containers thrown in for good measure. I usually clean up/straighten up the "cave" on a periodic basis, usually when I get tired of stepping over/on stuff on the floor, or tripping over it. Just a gun, it's never finished. LOL

Here’s my loading space. It’s located in my finished basement and I keep the dehumidifier set at 45%. I’m a big fan of filing cabinets for reloading storage. They are heavy duty and can be picked up dirt cheap.

I’m working on a space in the garage for range gear and such to cut out trips up and down the stairs when I load the truck to go shooting.

Forum Boss: Metal file cabinets can be great for storing boxes of bullets and brass. However, NEVER put powder or primers inside metal cabinets (or gunsafes for that matter). In the event of fire you do NOT want powder and primers contained.
