Temperature and Humidity controlled powder storage

I suppose a concerned individual could apply some weatherstripping to the sealing surface of the tote lids to further inhibit atmospheric exchange, without raising too many concerns about creating a 'bomb' like everyone screams about when people suggest using an old fridge.

Yeah,I would not suggest the steel fridges with mechanical handle as
were made years ago, and could build some pressure. Mine has the
magnetic double doors that pops right open. It has lots of room.

I have some of those big MTM utility totes with seals and latches, I drilled a couple of hole on two sides to get some ventilation. Right or wrong I don’t know, wasn’t comfortable with them that tight.

Simply, I would spray glue 2" foam insulation to the outside and put a low wattage incandescent light inside, plus humidity packs in each 8lb keg. Treat it like a humidor.
This is how welders used to keep their welding rods dry (Lo-Hy Rod)
Since humidity is water and contains Hydrogen,
Works well

Plug in humidity controllers are like $25 also

I would seal it really good and buy a goldenrod like is used in a safe. The goldenrod will keep the temp stable.. temp changes are worse then anything.

Specifically in my case, I go a month or more without going to this building. Would you trust a goldenrod in a cabinet full of powder?

I'm with the big plastic boxes. Moisture proof and just melt in the case of fire rather than exploding. I use the cheap clear plastic ones so I can see what's inside. I'm using some new old stock 2007 Unique. Still perfectly fine.

I was thinking about plastic totes then adding in a sock full of desiccant packs.
I just picked up fresh desiccant from Amazon $23 for 5.5# that comes with lil mesh bags.
