Wolf Rifle Primers?

Yeah. The dimensions are a little larger on Wolf primers. Can be a good thing on brass like .223 where the primer pockets get loose relatively fast.

Best performing primers for the money I've ever paid.

If you use small rifle, be aware there are 3 products available, not the usual 2.

KVB-223 is a standard charge in a standard cup;
KVB-223REM is the exact same charge in a more robust, magnum cup;
KVB-556 is a true magnum SR primer.

Using the KVB-223 in Lapua Palma brass with typical Palma loads will lead to problems. Same with spacegun SR cartridges.

Those wolf .223rem primers, designed for autos..... with a hard cup, wouldn't work in a couple of my bolt guns. The cups were just too hard. I need to trade them for the standard version.

so are you using any of the large rifle mag primers in say 243 or 308 sized cases or just the regular Large rifle primers. I typically use 210M but these reported low numbers may have me trying a brick of them, my next go around.

thanks,
Deano

The only "non Wolf" primers I buy now are the CCI BR-2's. Wolf does great in all my regular loads.

Likewise for Tula which is supposed to be the same with just a different box. Way less expensive than the traditional "domestic" primers. Their .223 Primer is great for my AR's.

I bought 2000 SRM's during the great primer shortage of ought 9. I tried them in 3 actions with multiple powders and none would set them off reliably.

Funny you should mention that Larry. While I love these Russian primers and they work great in my 3 actions. A good freind of mine has had nothing but trouble with them. Different firing pin/spring combinations do or dont like them.
