Winchester... WST....?????

I have switched powders for my skeet loads and have some Winchester wst left over..... Anybody use this stuff for 9mm..???? Or anything but shotgun...???? Trying to decide if I should keep an 8 lb jug....

I don't see any data for the 9mm, but they do have data for 38 special, 40 S&W and 45 ACP.

It’s very good in 45acp 38special and light 38super loads.

I have used it in 9mm with 147gr coated lead bullets. Not much if any mfr data out there to go on though. It’s a pretty fast powder and soft shooting, also inversely temp sensitive.

What are you switching to? I have loaded quite a bit of clay dot and extra lite. Loaded some 3/4oz with extra lite for my son's first shot on trap doubles. Burns clean and even cycles in my SX3, as long as it is clean.

Not for 9 (I don't shoot 9's.)

I do use it for 32SWL, 38Spl, and 45ACP. Aside from metering problems for the 4 gns for 45, it works quite well. [Note: I'm loading light bullseye target loads in all 3 calibers. Also, given that Titegroup has started showing up again, I'll probably be switching back after I burn through the 10 lbs of WST I bought during the lockdown.]

I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't work in 9, despite Hodgdon/Winchester not having a recommended load for it.

Here's an overly detailed look: https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...er-target-published-load-data-for-9mm.870180/

Thanks for posting.... I gave away 3 pounds to a friend that I shoot shotgun sports with who wanted to try it in 1-1/8 oz loads for dove season.... I never had any luck with it in 1 oz skeet loads even at heavy charges... Just plain old the dirtiest powder I have ever used....i knew some people were using it in .45 and liking it... Still have an 8 lb jug of it on a shelf collecting dust....
