Ok thanks...Great powder for .38 Spl 148 HBWC target loads. 2.2gr is all it takes
I have switched powders for my skeet loads and have some Winchester wst left over..... Anybody use this stuff for 9mm..???? Or anything but shotgun...???? Trying to decide if I should keep an 8 lb jug....
Thanks for posting.... I gave away 3 pounds to a friend that I shoot shotgun sports with who wanted to try it in 1-1/8 oz loads for dove season.... I never had any luck with it in 1 oz skeet loads even at heavy charges... Just plain old the dirtiest powder I have ever used....i knew some people were using it in .45 and liking it... Still have an 8 lb jug of it on a shelf collecting dust....Not for 9 (I don't shoot 9's.)
I do use it for 32SWL, 38Spl, and 45ACP. Aside from metering problems for the 4 gns for 45, it works quite well. [Note: I'm loading light bullseye target loads in all 3 calibers. Also, given that Titegroup has started showing up again, I'll probably be switching back after I burn through the 10 lbs of WST I bought during the lockdown.]
I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't work in 9, despite Hodgdon/Winchester not having a recommended load for it.
Here's an overly detailed look: https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...er-target-published-load-data-for-9mm.870180/
I could never get it to shoot clean in 1oz loads... It was so dirty it was causing the ejectors to stick in my Beretta over under....Too bad you're not closer to central Illinois, WST is one of my favs for 9/8 ounce target loads.
I never used it in 1oz loads, it's dirty enough in 9/8oz at 1200.I could never get it to shoot clean in 1oz loads... It was so dirty it was causing the ejectors to stick in my Beretta over under....
