I suppose you could of tried your load in someone else's 284 with a non ejector and see if it makes a difference.Somebody told me the witness marks can come from new brass with a little too much headspace where the case get blow back against the ejector

I have one barrel that shoots 2770 and one that shoots 2860, I wouldn't worry about and shoot it where it likes to be shot, we finished a match at Rattlesnake and there was more than a few that were in the 2700 rhelm. By the way where were you?
