You will see no difference . Just my two cents. Tommy McWhich do you think would have the least runout- the Wilson staight line seater or the Whidden seater?
Al is right on about this. I got substantial bullet runout with my 30 BR using an in-line seating die even though the brass had little to no runout. I tried both the regular and VLD style seating stems with no improvement. The die was too loose around the case neck to hold bullet concentricity.Hard to say.
Assuming a properly sized case with minimal run out fits both dies equally well and both seating stems contact the bullet well...run out with an inline seating die will come from the difference in the case neck diameter vs. the diameter of the neck area of the die.
Few people ever check this.
Good shootin'. -Al
Devin,I have a set of Whidden dies in 6 Dasher, the micro adjustable seating for couldn't seat two bullets the same if it's life depended on it. I called and emailed Whidden about the issue and had no response. I will never buy another product from them, not would I recommend them. With that said I have never had an issue with Wilson products, straight and true every time.
