Yeah,we do also,,,still a long day after the match to keep busy until Sunday morning. The addition of the 600 was a great idea and more and more shooters every match,,,we’ll see what happens…

Why is it a bad idea? Clarify please,I think it is a great idea
ASK SOMEONE WHO HAS TO WORK AT THE MATCHES ME BEEN WORKING DOUBLE MATCHES AT READE FOR YEARS. SUCKS TRY WORKING INSTEAD OF STANDING AROUND BS ALL DAY
Wow,just asked a question,,chill out dude. Eric is the 1st one who mentioned it on Facebook. He said the board brought it up as a option,,,,

Know all about it. Been running two matches at Mifflin county for the last 8 years. Know all about the work. But when you drive an hour and a half to three and a half hours to shoot 10 to 20 shots, not happening.
anyone working the matches now... tell us how you would like to double your work ..while all your friends are sitting around BS.. everyone wants to shoot more . no one wants more work
I’m sorry if this upsets you Tom but the number of responses questioning your “BAD BAD IDEA” comment should make you stop and think. I have made a couple suggestions along the lines of what Joe mentioned. Have everyone pay an extra $5 or $10 per match and hire help in the pits. That would help eliminate all the times they are short in the pits which holds things up. Use all the benches to make better use of what the facility has to offer and lessen the number of relays.
All I am saying Tom, is simply dismissing something as a bad idea leaves no room to be open to change even if that change could in the end be positive.

VOLUNTEERS IS THE ANSWER! Let me tell you guys something, I've been at that club for fifty years. I'm 75 years old and I don't think that maybe once or twice in 50 years that I have said no to anyone that needed help. The shooting sports need help, or we can all stay home.
We have the best Pits in the country, and you're telling me you can't Volunteer to help there.
All that I'm trying to do is give everyone a chance to shoot in the shoot off. This idea is not about a double match, it's a chance for shooters to shoot twice and for everyone to have the chance to be in the shoot off. If people don't want to shoot twice then that's OK, they will shoot match one for their agg. If they don't want to shoot the second time then OK but that means they will not be in the shoot off. The biggest complaint I've heard often and for years is people complain about driving to the range then shoot 10 shoots and be done for the day. I believe this will allow people to shoot twice at 1000 yards and still leave enough time to have a 600 yard match.

Tom as a board member you should know that the club put a post out on Facebook asking to email their thoughts on double matches to the secretary?

You don't have to shoot the next time around, you shoot for your agg. then the second round is for the shoot off. Which you are not penalized if you don't shoot. The double match they were talking about is with shoot off's , that means if you win your relay in both matches you are looking at shooting four time that would be like putting 80 rounds down your barrel.
