Will adjusting a scope make it go bad?

The only time I post brand names is if I have something good to say or I am unsatisfied with warranty.
This is a 4 MOA box I shot with a known good scope. I haven't had time to box the unknown one yet.
The reason why we are asking for the Manufacturer is that there are certain brands that are know to not hold.

Ok, was your paper actually level when you shot this? If it was, when you crank up it is pulling to the right, then when you crank down, it's coming back to the left some. If the paper was level, run a tall target test, go up 30 moa on a level line. IMO, your scope is useable because it returned close to zero. I doubt I would trust it to shoot a match of any kind. Now if your sheet of paper was crooked, may not be anything.

That three shot group on lower left is a nice group and with scope adjustments in between shots is better than a good group. You're shooting a .30BR and with the added recoil over a 6PPC will tend to damage a scope sooner. The two times I had a scope go bad, the shots stung down more and more on each shot and the one time my crosshairs turned to Xhairs. I shoot just 100 and 200 yard BR. And the only time I mess with the scope is when changing distances. Other than that I just hold for every shot. I've found that with temperature changes my point of impact may change from shooting in the evening and then again the next morning but I just live with that. I guess I just don't like to mess with something when it's working.
Oh and if pirate ammo sells stuff when it works no longer, you don't have to remind me not to buy from him.

Looks to me like its made him an expert, far superior knowledge- now he just nods knowing hes way better than anybody else and theres not even a need to check his creedmoor before season-its on.
Imma gonna whack my deer in Arkansas this year , taking my shot from my back porch in Oregon. With the best shootin, never to be duplicated, hand held mini mistle launcher.
"6.5 CREEDMOOR".
Oops lol bumpkin slipped out

W.T.H. kinda sounds like a personal attack, unless I'm not reading it right.
I personally have gotten nothing but Superior service from the pig slaying pirate.
Everything has always gone BANG.
Edit,.Almost dropped an F bomb, but I am in church today.

A couple of things worth knowing about scope adjustments:
Back in the day when Dick Thomas was running Premier Reticles and it was the only other factory approved warranty and repair option other than Leupold for their scopes, he told me that the best approach for making adjustments that involved turning turrets counterclockwise (assuming RH threads) was to go past the intended setting by say 1 MOA and come back to it turning clockwise.

If you think about how scope adjustments work, any time that you are unscrewing a turret adjustment, you are hoping that the spring or springs will cause the erector tube to follow perfectly...and it may not. On the other hand if you are pushing the erector tube into the spring, the action is more positive.

A few years ago, I noticed a shooter that was having a lot of trouble sighting in two rifles with ancient 3x9 Leupold hunting scopes. Getting good windage settings had had him chasing his tail for a large number of rounds. After I explained this method to him, taking it to a bit of an extreme, he backed the windage out quite a ways and proceeded to march his bullet impacts toward the center. It worked and he was very happy.

Another thing worth doing from time to time is what I call exercising your turrets, carefully taking your windage and elevation adjustments to the ends of their range of adjustments, several times before returning them to the rifle's zero. Some time back there was an excellent article in Precision Shooting magazine that demonstrated that adjustments can be improved by this method. Some time after that when a shooter was having scope trouble at a match, I suggested that he try that. He did, and went on to win a yardage with that same scope.

Leupold actually told me this too one time when i had an issue with a 36x. Now i run them thru the adjustments when i can think about it and dont have anymore scope issues. Keeps the erector tube running free, lube distributed and no jumping. Even works on other scopes people have issues with.

I don't know if this is good or bad,,but don't look good,,I sell something it works if something is wrong or you don't like it,,full refund and I eat all the freight,,If this is only a joke
you need to clear it up quick,,not good,,,

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there brother!
Where I come from if someone was to take a shot at friend or family member, another member would probbably sock em in the eye.
So sit back drink take in a cold 1, wack a pig and relax. You have plenty of friends n family here to call out an asshat comment.
I read these boards to learn to be a better loaded and shooter.
Then ther's the humor and without you it wouldnt be the same.
So I say f@(# em! Lets box.
Church is over.
Now back to scopes going out of tune, Boyd posted up some real good info supported by Dusty.

reading your post, the Talisman is having an adverse effect on you,,starting to be to darn nice,,ship to new victim soon,,,
How would you take this remark?
Sounds to me like pirate ammo, when you have a problem ship that problem to a new "victim". Your terminology, not mine.
I don't care to be thought of as a"victim" when I buy something.

He was referring to me be nice n pleasant in my vernacular.
You would have to possess a talisman to begin to understand.
As there are only 3 in existence, maybe 1 day one will find it's way to you.
Now please back to scopes.
