A great read on why the Founding Fathers recognized the need for the second amendment and supporting information for its continuation. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this well written document in support of the 2nd amendment. We cannot ever let the left steal it from us through registration and legislation!

Troops are on the streets in our cities, and armed poorly trained ICE is killing, incarcerating and deporting people. Violating OUR Constitution and the pledge we learned as first graders, "liberty and justice for all". No "due process" with plans to build 'detention centers'. Also threats, by the president to change or ignore the 2nd Amendment. It has all been in the newspapers and TV. This is happening, not an opinion!!!

You will be never be ignored because I want to know what you are up to.
Due process was given when the judge deemed them to be deported. which may have been several years ago.

Far as I'm concerned if you entered the country illegally, the lowest beat cop can drive you to the border and throw you out. Perfectly legal.

Mostly because if that same illegal tried to come into my house illegally, I have every right under both state and constitutional law to compel his departure.

Neither of those scenarios require a judge to get involved.

"Liberty and Justice for All" means All Citizens, not just anyone that can sneak in. Freedom of speech and the freedom to protest does not mean that we are free to destroy property and hurt people. There are no "Penumbra" in the Declaration, Constitution or the Bill of Rights. It's all plain text and we can take the Second Amendment at face value. People were/are allowed to possess and use firearms of their choosing and those should be modern. Our Founding Fathers didn't use Matchlocks to fight the British, they used firearms of the day and the best they had or could obtain. We're free to own relics if we choose but we are also free to own and use state of the art weapons. The Second Amendment is not just for protection. it is also to keep an over zealous and oppressive government at bay.

Some think that when the second amendment was written that they were talking about muzzle loading rifles and pistols, not full auto rifles and pistoles! Well when they wrote the first Amendment they were talking about two page piece of paper, not radio TV Satellite communications.
The second is to protect all the Amendments against Tyranny.

I want the immigration system fixed. I've seen too many law abiding people kicked out of the country due to some demented government process. These were European's who came here to retire and found employment according to the law. One was employed by a police department whose chief could not figure out why the guy was being deported. The average cost to get citizenship papers is $20k or more. Should not be.

No deporting people who are legally here. No keeping legal people out. Fix the system so people can immigrate legally without all the stupid stuff.

No I don't want criminals here, or the massive surge of political asylum being used by the militant islamists. Just get this stuff done right.

The ability to fix it is there. It just has to be done. The right isn't doing it. The left isn't doing it. Simply because it is political fodder.

If my ancestors had to go through this today I would not be here. Even Ellis Island was a cakewalk compared to today's immigration system. Almost all of you are from immigrants at one time or another.

Or is this a 'pull up the ladder, I've got mine' mentality.

No I am not a liberal. I am an old time conservative who had to change from republican to independent due to the stupidity of the current republican party.

@charlie b what are their names ? These people who supposedly got put out of the country unlawfully.

And you're not making sense ... saying they came here to retire and they found employment. Those are mutually exclusive employment statuses.

Oh, I can see they came here to retire and grift off of the hard work of people who've paid into the system for over 50 years.

I remember what the last good Democrat said... "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

It's like all the Democrats moving from California to the southeast... they bankrupted the west coast and now they're going to come here and sponge off of those of us who ran our states correctly until they drive us into bankruptcy.

Of course some people are put out of the country incorrectly, but I bet you it's 100,000 to 1 of the ones who are here illegally as compared to the ones you're talking about. The problem most needing to be addressed is the "100,000." And sure... after we get that under control we can address the problem you're talking about.

If your house has a broken window and catches on fire, you call the fire department and let the broken window be for the time being.

The simplest answer as to why the 2A matters , is what is happening in Iran today , right now , at this minute ! If the population had guns , as we do here ,due to our 2A , THEY would be in a position to overthrown their tyrannical regime . Sadly ; only the police and the IRGC have the weapons , and they will shoot , without hesitation , anyone who attempts to raise their voice against this regime .
One Party has been trying to wipe out Our 2A for decades now , and take away our Gun Rights ! Aren't these the same people who spent four years of Lawfare and providing Open Borders ?
We cannot , ever allow the loss of our 2A Rights under any circumstance , or we can easily become another Iran or any one of the dozens of Police States , as one Political Party strives for now .

The people I've learned from are the Constitutional scholars, historians, Federal prosecutors, judges, that understand the fundamentals of the Constitution. One resource is conservative Federal Appeals Court Judge Michael Luttig (ret.), he is a member of the Federalist Society, Constitutional historian, very highly respected by all and a personal friend of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts (this can be confirmed). All, everyone, citizenship is not the criteria, is entitled to "due process". British troops in the streets Boston, with threats to billet them in private houses, was one of the 26 issues in the Declaration of Independence. Our "rights" are belong to us as INDIVIDUALS, not groups. When the Constitution was written many of the people, maybe a majority (I've never seen the numbers) were immigrants. The government needs to prove. "beyond a reasonable doubt" a person is guilty. How does that happen with out "due process"? ICE has incarcerated and deported US citizens and also immigrants with the paper work to be here legally. (Confirmed) One person does not have the right or authority to make the rules, other wise "We the people" are back to King George's monarchy. The First Amendment has been curbed by law suites and threats against CBS, late nighters Colbert and Kimmel. The 14 Amendment, one person seeking change, is at the Supreme Court. Instead of in Congress. Methods of change are very clearly stated in the Constitution. Changing the supreme law of the land belongs to "We the People", not the court or an individual. A change to the 2nd Amendment has been made by the same person. LOOK IT UP.

Existing laws simply need to be ENFORCED, not constantly re- adjudicated and undermined by the courts.

Nothing undermines the Constitution and the rule of law more than activist judges trying to prevent enforcement of the law, and worse, PUNISHING those enforcing it.

It is the job of the Chief Executive to see to the enforcement of the law and to prevent the courts from undermining the law.

Congress doent need to re-pass laws it ALREADY passed. The courts must be forced to stop undermining laws Congress passed.

2A exists for when this system breaks down.

I want to see the deportation process be ramped up to include the lazy, traitorous, bums who were native born in our country also. Folks who are not only a horrible drain on our resources, but also a politically powerful parasite, which operate as a group to overthrow our wonderfully crafted and created constitutional republic.

And sadly this group of parasites includes many folks who are judges, elected officials, college instructors - and students, military officers, --- people who should never have their hands on the purse strings of our country, let alone the means with which to steer us into the ditch. :( jd
