Why shouldn't i build a 6.5 sweede?

I have been tossing around a Hart #3 8 twist 6.5 barrel in my shop for over a year. Didn't have a use for it when I got it just figured be good to have around.

While I have others I could use, I don't think I currently have a 6.5mm chambering. Was tossing around 6.5 creed, but I was going through my stuff the other day and realized I have a handful of winchester brass and some 6.5 sweede dies. I also have a 6.5 sweede reamer. A bunch of misc 6.5 bullets. I have a creed reamer too but no brass of dies.

Going through donors, I have a 1917 enfield I did up a few years ago with a nice walnut stock. Threw a recycled and rechambered 22-250 barrel on it cause I had the 22 cal barrel sitting around. I don't really shoot it much, but it's a nice setup and I think the sweede would be a perfect fit for this rifle/stock combo vs the 22-250.

Was thinking the SS barrel with a matte blast and the blued action/walnut stock would be a nice "modern classic" style rifle in a classic capable cartridge. I just don't see doing a creed on this setup vs the sweede. I've had 6.5-06's, 6.5-280's, and wanting another rifle I could have my kids shoot when they get a little older. Will eventually go to one of my 4 kids.

Will probably pick up some lapua brass and load up some hammers to make a nice sporting rifle? Below is the rifle I plan to rebarrel.

All in favor say aye!

I recognize that safety anywhere.

I've got the 6.5 Addiction x55 variant and have about a half dozen barrels for various actions. It's a very efficient and accurate cartridge.
51ish gr of 3831sc or RL26 type powder with a 140 is good for over 3000+ fps with moderate pressure and don't have much issue getting a 1/2moa load figured out.
It works in a short action but really shines in the XM length.

@ spitfire,...
I'm Having, a Ton of Fun, shooting 10-12 inch, Steel Plates from, Field Positions, at Distances out to, 850 Yards with, my 8 pound, "Braked", 6.5 Creedmoor ( 130 gr. ELD-M's @ 2,850 FPS ). Very LOW,. Recoil, W/ 130's !

I am in the distinct minority, but the severe shoulder of AI cartridges bothers me a bit. feeding/closing the bolt can just barely, almost, kinda hang up. Although I must confess, if and when I do build a 260Rem, it will be the AI version!! makes me want to look at a 6.5x57, 6.5x284, 6.5-06. Let the flames start.

I Believe that, the 6.5 GWI is, a 30 Degree shoulder and the Round IS,.. VERY Accurate @ 1,000 yards !
Nice Long,.. Neck, too !!
IMO,.. it's, the "Perfect", 6.5 Cart ! ( a Slightly Elongated,.. 6.5 Creedmoor ! )
I'm an ole' "CheapSkate" so I, "Make Do" with,.. the Creed and it's Perfect for, Me with, the 130's !
But IF, I were Building, a New Rifle, I'd Look, real HARD,.. at the 6.5 GWI !
The EXTRA Velocity, would come in Handy for Launching, the High BC,.. 140, 142, 144 & 147 grain Bullets,.. IMO
