I send them an email once a year or so requesting that they make brass on that case head size. I usually phrase it as any PPC/Grendel/ARC brass, since most BR guys could make any option work.

Norma seems fine. I need to get a batch of Starline to try. Peterson would be my preference though since I have had excellent results with their 6.5x47 and 6BR.
Expand factory, it takes money money money to make money money money. Shooter will move on to other makersMoney, money, money… the tooling cost is significant and then it has to compete for factory resources against other more popular, and likely profitable, cases.
True… but apparently Peterson doesn’t deem it worth the investment.Expand factory, it takes money money money to make money money money. Shooter will move on to other makers
Agreed. Change the name to creedmoor or prc, or wsm, or saum and there will be plentyTrue… but apparently Peterson doesn’t deem it worth the investment.
Yea, Jack Neary spoke of that being a big part of Lapua not making 6PPC brass on a podcast with Erik Cortina "Believe the Target" so it may very well be the same reason with Peterson or other Manufs.Hey Fellers, I think one of the problems is that there is no "standardized" ppc case, I'll bet I've seen at least 10 different versions. Look how many size dies Harrell's offers for the ppc. And, every good smith has his own reamer that he's "tweaked" just a bit,.... John
That’s why I ask for Grendel/ARC brass, since both are standard and also have an AR following with them too.Yea, Jack Neary spoke of that being a big part of Lapua not making 6PPC brass on a podcast with Erik Cortina "Believe the Target" so it may very well be the same reason with Peterson or other Manufs.
Agreed. The basic case is so close to a group of cartridges that it's hard to imagine lack of sales, when they continue to produce a 220r for essentially a tiny, tiny market, that also requires forming, comparatively and otherwise. I think the opportunity is there. That’s why I ask for Grendel/ARC brass, since both are standard and also have an AR following with them too.

Yea you would think there would be a market for all of those.Agreed. Have you sized down any to PPC ???That’s why I ask for Grendel/ARC brass, since both are standard and also have an AR following with them too.
I have. 6.5g to ppc, a one step op, with the right die. I prefer to neck and size in two easy steps. 6 arc should be easier in both respects.Have y

No. I have been using 22 PPC Norma. The Grendel could be some work, but the ARC is so close.Have y

So why not just make PPC brass? When I look at some of the obscure cartridges that Peterson offers, it is hard to fathom they couldn’t make money on 220 Russian. At a minimum, they would be making a killing right now since Lapua brass has been unavailable for a long time.
