ThxI normally pic "middle of the road" load of a suitable powder. Loading hot on the first firing is tough on the brass. Better to get it fully fire-formed with a couple of milder loads.
Depends on bullet weight ?Thx
any suggestions on powder?
Thanks, I was hoping to simply seat. a .22 cal. bullet for the fire forming?Stick 27 grains of 133, 322, LT32, or any powder in that burn range behind a 66/68 grain bullet and shoot them. Some shooters like to jam the bullet into the lands to case is against the bolt face.insure the
I do smear a thin film of Imperial Sizing wax on the body so the case will come back against the bolt face and form better.
Most competitive shooters do this twice before they consider the cases ready for competition.
Same thing then. Full case of h322 is what i use. Make sure you bump them back with your ppc die to have a very slight crush fit when chamberingThanks, I was hoping to simply seat. a .22 cal. bullet for the fire forming?
See 220beggsDoes any one shoot 220 Russian, as it comes from the box???
Gene beggs standardized it, had dies and reamers made for a clean pkg deal. Tons of people shoot it in UBR. No other place using it to speak ofWhy is it called a 220 Beggs, if its the same as a 220 Russian. There must be some difference. I hear that Russian Olympic shooters used it in the 1960s. Anyone other than a Beggs?
