Why no 220 Russian brass from Peterson?

Per their February 2023 newsletter [and a 2023 SHOT Show video], Peterson CC announced they were going to start making 6ARC brass. At one point it was supposed to be released in Q4 2023; last email response I got from back in October 2023 was the "6 ARC is still in development with no providable timeline". Perhaps with Hornady releasing the 22ARC, there will be another cartridge with that same casehead diameter that others will produce brass. From time to time, I also email Alpha Munitions to see if they will start making brass in the PPC-casehead size.

Hey Fellers, I think one of the problems is that there is no "standardized" ppc case, I'll bet I've seen at least 10 different versions. Look how many size dies Harrell's offers for the ppc. And, every good smith has his own reamer that he's "tweaked" just a bit,.... John

Yea, Jack Neary spoke of that being a big part of Lapua not making 6PPC brass on a podcast with Erik Cortina "Believe the Target" so it may very well be the same reason with Peterson or other Manufs.

That’s why I ask for Grendel/ARC brass, since both are standard and also have an AR following with them too.
Agreed. The basic case is so close to a group of cartridges that it's hard to imagine lack of sales, when they continue to produce a 220r for essentially a tiny, tiny market, that also requires forming, comparatively and otherwise. I think the opportunity is there.

Yea you would think there would be a market for all of those.

When I look at some of the obscure cartridges that Peterson offers, it is hard to fathom they couldn’t make money on 220 Russian. At a minimum, they would be making a killing right now since Lapua brass has been unavailable for a long time.
