Why doesnt everyone fill out their profie?

Basic info for public viewing and actual name and address for the forum boss to allow the retrieval of stolen property from a scam artist.. I don't think it would be hard to do, if you donated money as a site contributor more then likely you used a card or Paypal with your address right there. The site could just require that classified use be limited to site contributors and you have two birds with one stone.. The folks just here to by and sell had to throw in the pot..

All I would like to see is what state we live in .As far as the profile with imfo in it would be privately held by the site only if you are a seller and that is it. You already have an electronic foot print on this site anyways.

How would knowing the state benefit more than the positive or negative feed back system that is in place now?
How would knowing the state a person lives in benefit you at a all? If you buy or sell you get that info thru pm to make the transaction

I just don't get where your coming from with this

I'm kinda with Jon on this, really it's tough to sometimes have respect for people hiding basic crap.
My age is now available, as for occupation, Saturday I was a toilet mechanic, Sunday off to shoot, today, installing appliances after a slight remodel, through the disclaimer out just now, off the rest of the week ;)
Thanks Jon, I agree.

Oh. I'm not sure ones real name should even be known by moderators, it serves no purpose, other than sales. And I would never use my real name on a forum. People will eventually find out who you are. But just going by your real name just invites a potential theft threat. Face it, we all have valuables.

One of the reasons may it be contrite is to just see where a guy is from just for the fun of it.Like a guy from Australia, iceland etc.I just get a kick out of knowing how far away a friend on here really is and it helps me understand why their post about not being able to buy something for example gives me an idea what it is like in a different country. If you fellas don't want to do it don't.

I'm game. I have no problem putting my info down. Only way I'd list my number though is if I could be squared up with saying it would be given to anyone for marketing or sales. I'd just assume leave the number out and include address and email no I don't need any new laundry drtergent!! It's a good idea. If you could verify the information to be true and held accountable for mishap or wrong doing. I also think you should have ainimim
Number of USEFUL OR HELPFULL post before you could sell items. Sign me up. I got nothing to hide(what I do have is in a safe epoxied and bolted in the concrete lol

I see some of the points but just filling in what state is in is no real big deal in reality.

After reading nomads situation now I understand completely. This really upsets me that one of our people turned him in to the game warden on a law that is a bit vague in some states.

You're a stand up guy, Jon

I have had my state and city listed in my profile from beginning but now thinking of up dating it

I had to check to see if I have my profile filled out.
As far as threats go - I have friends with guns, I aint afraid..

;)
