who makes the best scope

I hunt a lot at night and use Zeiss 6-24x72. One of the best scope I have used. Love him

A lot of people suggesting Swarovski. While I'd never give up my Swaro 10X42 binos, the best glass is not the best part of a rifle scope. It's repeatable adjustments and the ability to hold zero for a hunting rifle. In my opinion, Leupold and Nightforce are the only two that have both optics and repeatability cornered at a decent price. I've have Nightforce NXS in 3.5X15X50's and a Leupold 4.5X14X50's with illuminated reticles on my hunting rifles for years now and nothing beats them for reliability. I can't say that about the Swarovski's that I've owned, my experience. Also with all the problems I had with Swarovski, their customer service falls short of Leupold or Nightforce service as well. I would give a slight edge to Nightforce over Leupold but both are very good. Keep the illuminated reticle in mind when you select a scope, nothing like having all that light gathering quality and you can't find the reticle 8)!

I am a big Nightforce and Leupold fan and own a bunch but we tested the Swarovski Rifle scope on 1000 yard rifles and they track and hold point of aim quite well. They have 4 coil springs in their erector assembly. Matt

I got a Swarovski 3-9X riflescope because some on the net were talking them up and the name is on jewelry.

The scope is no better than the Leupolds I have and it's reticule turns pink in sunlight and fades like the far less expensive Leupolds.

The Kahles I have is excellent but expensive.

You must have got a bad one because I hunted coon at night in complete darkness and a lot of times we didn't have to even turn on a light. Have never seen any reticule in any brand of scope turn pink. Including Tasco, Bushnell and any other scope. Matt

Look towards the sun with a Leupold scope and it's crosshairs will turn pink and fade.

The Zeiss Conquests do not.

This started when Lyman went to the Perma-Center reticule which also fades to pink. The old style did not.

Nobody can see anything in the dark except a bat.

If you can see bats in the dark, then it's probably from retina damage due to looking at the sun through scopes.
