Who does 20 Practical AR barrels?

x-caliber barrels. They do not stock these barrels and the quoted lead time is 10-12 weeks. I bought a 204 ruger AR-15 barrel from them. The first barrel would not shoot to my expectations. Contacted them and sent it back. Their QC department found something wrong with it. They sent me another (had to wait another 10 weeks) that shoots very well.

Black Hole Weaponry has these barrels.

Sucky about the wait, but that's still an excellent outcome.

White Oak also does 20 Practical barrels.

A friend and I ordered 2 around mid-Febuary. A 20" and an 18" (coyote guns). The 20" showed up in under 4 weeks. I'm still waiting on my 18" though. My guess is they do them in batches and the long lead time is more CYA than anything.

Just received my .20 practical AR barrel from X-caliber. I put 25 rounds through it during break in process.
Not sure how it groups yet . But it cleaned up copper free with patches only.
Very nice looking barrel. Ordered it in January and it was almost 10 weeks to the day just as his website says..

Thought I'd add an update on the barrel situation. I had Hart make a .20 caliber A/R barrel for me around four years ago. They wouldn't chamber it in .20 Practical, so I had a gunsmith buddy do it for me, as he had the reamer from doing his own in a bolt gun. A buddy of mine wanted me to build a gun like mine for him, so I went to Hart for another barrel and was pleased that they now chamber in that caliber. I ordered another to replace mine when it gives up the ghost - which should have been a long time ago.

As popular and easy accurate as the .20P is, it's a wonder some manufacturer doesn't jump on the bandwagon and start making them. For my money, it's sure as heck a more marketable cartridge than that goofy future orphan, the .22 Nosler.

Here's my BHW 24" 20P AR, the top one in this pic. Love this upper!
