I have tried to contact Scott Parker through e-mail with no luck. I’ve read other threads where his communication skills and lead time are less than stellar, so I’m not going to pursue that headache. All very disappointing because of all the great feedback on Scott’s fine job he does tuning the scales.
So, is there anyone else that tunes beam scales that has a good reputation?
I tuned my own 10-10. Dropping a half kernel H4350 will cause movement of the beam. All about friction.
The scale has to be level to start with, I use countertop plastic with 3 leveling screws for the base.
Then look at every friction point. Use a fine stone to clean up the pivot points.
Boyd Allen’s posts on scales helped immensely, too.
