Hey everyone, it's time to pick the collective brain of accurateshooters haha
I just finished building up my midrange F Class rifle - Kelbly's Atlas with a .223 Wylde 27" Hawk Hill 1:7
I am at the point of deciding on glass and am a bit torn between the following:
- Delta Stryker 5-50x56 (top pick other than CS being out of Poland - heard the reticle is pretty thin and non illuminated)
- The new Athlon Ares ETR UHD 15-50x60 (very new model for them, might need some refining after initial release)
- Trijicon TenMile 5-50x56 (really wish they had the floating dot in MOA)
- Sightron - I want to want one, but I can't seem to find the right mix of features (floating dot, 1/8 MOA, zero stop, illumination)
My main considerations are glass quality with an astigmatism, available elevation travel so I can have a clear and effective zero at 100 and 600 yards (it is going on a 20 MOA rail - ballistics show around 14 MOA drop between 100 and 600 yards), hash mark reticle with floating dot would be ideal, I suppose I could live without the floating dot but holdover hash marks are a necessity. Illuminated would be nice for the black F Class targets on darker days.
Is there anything I'm missing? What would you recommend? I've watched just about every review video and read every review post out there on all of those options, and everything has its pros/cons. Any and all input is much appreciated.
Thanks and happy shooting!
Justin
