Which Nightforce???

Thanks for the help A.H. Just a general question. Im sure i'm not as smart as you,and i will do fine without your wonderful info. Everyone else had some helpful ideas. Is that all you do is stalk the site and try to belittle everyone.

Did you get your scope yet? One other option and probably a long shot if you are using your points but there may be one of these in a "Bargain Cave' at one of their stores. It's a used NXS 12-42 but as Matt posted, for longer ranges , you'd need a 20 or 30 moa base. On the used markets, they go for around $1500.

Im going to buy a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmore (when I can find one). Do a little bit of longrange??, 500-1000 yds, or so, and want to put a Nightforce on it. Always wanted one, but dont know the best all around retical, power to get. I have $1700. or so Cabelas points and want to buy the right one? Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

I warn you.... If you buy one you will just buy another. LOL... Once you shoot top of the line optics it is very hard to shoot anything else. I have 3 NF and a USO and I love them. I do not have a SHV but have handled them and they feel cheap compared to the NXS line. I know I could take my scope off my rifle and beat a liberal with both of my NXSs and that they would hold zero no questions asked. I am not so sure about the SHV. It is a NF so I imagine would work fine but when you hold an NXS, BEAST or ATACR you just know you are holding something "special". lol
