Nightforce scope?

I bought my NXS 8-32 for F-Class and love it. I got behind another shooter's 12-42BR while we were side-by-side at 1K and didn't think the extra 10x was that noticeable (to me) for some reason. Certainly not as much as the difference between 22 and 32. The NP-2DD reticle is excellent.

The one thing about the NXS that you don't get with the BR is the side-focus. But they are more expensive.

It really helps to be able to look through them before buying. However, Nightforce's website has clear, large blowups of their reticles that are worth a look.

I've got a couple of nightforce and a sightron 10x50. I'm not real sure that it's not at least as good and quite a few hundred $ less!

Maybe...Maybe the S111 series comes close. I was fairly impressed with the one that I looked through last winter...I think it was a 10-60x. But, I really couldn't crank up the power, and was told that on the days you could, the parelex adjustment was VERY finicky.

Well the only problem I have with looking through one is, there is not a dealer within over 100 miles of me. I like the idea of hold off, plus I might have to take the rifle deer, or prairie dog hunting. As long as the crosshairs are fine enough too see a good portion of the target at 600 yards. Thats what Im worried about.

I would take the ride. You will be paying over $1,000 for the scope so a tank of gas at the most for cost and you will be able to see and decide what you like best.

I see absolutely no reason to get a busy reticle for a target rifle. I have used a CH-3 reticle for years now and shoot High Master.
