Which Gempro scale?

FJIM,
For what it's worth, a few months ago, I bought one of those Gempro 250's due to it's readout with more digits to the right of the decimal point. After reading the instructions on calibrating and zeroing the unit, I discovered the scale can be a pain in the ars to re-calibrate if you take your scale down at night, which I do. And I'd been using two RCBS scales that (don't drift) are much simpler to re-calibrate and zero, even when taking it down and setting it up again. So I compared the two makes and checked them against each other in terms of accuracy and set up ease. They both read the same, except the Gempro gave me an additional tenth digit reading more than the RCBS. So basically, I loaded one batch (35 rds) using the Gempro and have gone back to using the RCBS that are much easier to set up. Bottom line, if you (or anyone else) has interest, I'll sell this new (but used once) Gempro 250 for $100 shipped CONUS. It comes in the original container and box. Let me know if you have interest.

Alex

UPDATE: SPF
How is it "a pain in the ass to re-calibrate if you take your scale down at night"? It's a simple thing to me to plug it in 30 minutes before (same as the FX-120i) and do a single point and linear calibration. I can do the latter in less than 30 seconds....

Glad it works for you and you are happy with it. I know of other reloaders who've experienced the same frustration or "pain" (not to mention the drifting) which is why it is now sold and no longer an issue for me. My RCBS scales have served me well over the years and continue to do so. Happy shootin!

The point has nothing to do with whether I am happy or not with it, but if someone gives a scathing bad review on something on a thread about a specific product, you have the obligation to explain why you are unhappy with it. Anything else is just bashing and not fair.

well I used my Gempro 250 for the first time and I was very happy with it. what it told me was I should throw my 25 year old RCBS Powder Pro in the garbage. it was off as much as .55 gn.. then seen it be off as much as .75 then I re cal'ed it and it was off .1...I would have never caught it being off the .75 with out the Gempro because it showed the negative pan off reading the same so I would have never known it drifted. The Gempro did not seem to drift much for me it got off .10 once and I seen it go .05 but when I put the pan on it was zero..shot the loads I loaded on it today and it was bad conditions and the load seemed out of tune. As my old scale was on the .5 gn light side so it seemed now I was hot..with a 16 round ES of 40 FPS low to high one round was off 40 FPS the rest was around 16 FPS..So I will back off .7 gn and retest.
