waltk, you are going to think me strange, but -- take your scale and remove the pan and the metal piece just under it (it should just fall off). Then take the scale and turn it upside down and shake it.
Mine died and this upside down shake fixed it and it has worked perfect since. Strange but it worked for me.
If it does not work, they have a lifetime warranty.
