Which case neck chamfering tools work best for you?

this because you can get consistent chamfering from case to case if you trim all the same first. it indexes on the flash hole. they make a shallower one also, but i like the vld.
then this for the outside, 4 blades work better than 3, less slipping.
Where’s the 4th blade?

Jim Ziegler - I read a comment in another post that Giraud can trim case mouths to the extent that a sharp edge occurs resulting in hand/finger cuts if people aren't careful. What has been your experience?
I've never experienced anything like that.

I use an RCBS (LE Wilson) rocket deburrer but only the outside deburr and a Lyman Wooden handled VLD inside deburrer.

Happy with the results.

RCBS Trim Pro II with the 3-way head . PITA to set , but once it's set , it's great . Will hold + /- .001 all day .

I’ve been wondering about sharpening my outside chamfer tool. I don’t think it was ever particularly sharp even when new. Have you tried sharpening those before?
I sharpen mine occasionally.
They definitely get dull over time.

I’d like to find a higher quality tapered reamer with an appropriate angle.

I bought a Hornaday Duo and use my Lyman inside VLD chamfering tool with the Hornaday Duo outside chamfering tool. It does a very good job and fairly easy on your hands and wallet.

For precision, repeatable inside chamfering it is hard to go past KM’s VLD tapered tool that with the addition of the 1/4” Hex driver lets you use a small screwdriver type drill.

I like that thimble looking thing lee makes or the rocket ship tool, both you use by hand.
It takes so little effort to do that job.
I firmly believe any tool that is powered is to aggressive for the task.
It is a step that is best accomplish by hand.squeek squeek, flip squeek squeek done
But when your looking at a bulk box of 1000 a motor seems logical
I used redding tools in my RCBS prep center..in fact ive used about everything on the market that will thread into it..
Oh i wanted to add the rocket ship tool ive had 2 the Lyman, and an rcbs ..was the more smooth and sharp for many many years..

Here is a tip when you go to the store bring a pc of brass with you and try before you buy..find one that is nice and smooth..it will when you use it and not full of burrs or a mark some customer dropped it on the floor..inspect that stuff
