Which 6? GT, XC, XC II, Creed, C47???

A little more info.
What are you going to use it for?
Distance?
Distance absolutely. Hunting deer, varmints, pigs, and of course banging on steel. Doubtful that I would compete in matches. I am more interested in which version is easier. And of course, I want it to be accurate.

Whichever produces the lightest recoil. No clue which that would be as I haven't really researched any of the 6 family.

I'll just say that of the 6s mentioned, 6 creed does have readily available factory ammo in all varieties for reasonable pricing. I'm not sure how easy finding the others would be if you wanted. Granted reloading negates the loaded ammo debate, but it sure is helpful being able to buy berger loaded ammo, in lapua brass, for hunting and target, that in my model 7 shoots 1/2 moa. And all are about $2 a shot. Then i can reload it if so desired.

Somehow, I knew the XC. crowd would be her first. They are a dedicated bunch.
I have never owned the XC but I have extensive time behind the 6 Creedmoor. Also just began working with a 6GT.
I have to ask just how many companies make and sell brass for the XC vs. the 6 Creedmoor?
Load the 6 Creedmoor with RL16 and 105 Hybrids and it will provide all the accuracy and distance you'll likely ever need. I am on my 3rd barrel and all have made 3,100FPS accurately with the exact same load of RL16 and (OH NO!) that "crappy Hornady brass". That brass has seen 10 cycles or more hammering steel and shooting small groups.
The 6GT has promise as I have gotten to 3,050 already without stressing the Alpha brass. It is doing that with RL15.5 and the Vapor Trail 103.
Plus, I have some of the new Lapua 6GT in hand now and will be working with it soon.

6GT and Creed are great rounds also! You're results with the GT are probably a little out of the normal though. That Alpha brass tends to give slightly higher velo without showing the pressure but don't be fooled. The only way to achieve velo is pressure ;) The GT really shines with the lighter 75-90 grain bullets but yes it'll also work with 105-107's. Just as a normal BR does. It's (GT) basically for the crowd that wants the BR AI and/ or Dasher performance without all the brass prep.
6 Creed is also good. Good factory ammo and great ballistics. Only a few more grains of powder to do what the XC will do but the two are damn near identical- only the XC came first and was cast into the shadows when the GIANT Hornady machine took off with the Creed.

I've owned and extensively shot and reloaded for the 6 XC, 6 Creedmoor, 6 BRA and 6 RAT. If you reload, I suggest the 6 XC as I have found it to be more accurate than the Creedmoor for the things you would use it for. Barrel twist should be between 7.5 and 8 for 105-108 grain bullets. For target shooting, I would lean toward the 6 BRA.

Guys, the XC wasn’t first, the 6X was first. It was designed to be made from 22-250 brass and could be chambered with a 243 reamer held a bit short. It required fireforming and fed smoothly because the shoulder was the same as the 243. However, the 243 reamer was a bit more generous (obviously) at the base than the 22-250 brass. My gunsmith had a reamer ground that was closer to the 22-250 case and our rifles shot fine and the brass has lasted a long time. I made 500 cases and after several years of shooting some of my brass is getting tired. Now Tubb has the XC II which is designed to provide tighter dimensions at the base of the case and brass to match. On top of that there are several other cartridge choices which ammo, brass, and factory loaded ammo have become available. I want to make sure that I choose the best option.

My vote ( as Expected ) goes to the 6 XC Tubb Version ONE and I would Build another One, in a New York Minute !
Keep the FreeBore at .090 to .105 go with, 1- 7.5 to 1-8 Twist and Enjoy shooting, everything from,..
Flat Based, 80 gr Berger Targ / Varmt's to, 110 gr. Sierra MK's, into Pretty,.. SMALL group's !
For Steel plates, the 107 gr. SMK's shoot TINY,.. if, "Jammed", a Bit !
Sage Rats FEAR my 80 gr. Varmnt Berg's and IF, Hunting Deer / Antelope there's, the 108 gr. Elite Hunters.
The 6 XC is,. a "Do All" round for, Me ! If, you don't handload, the 6 Creed is,.. "OK" !
I use "Thrown Charges" of StaBall 65 Powder for, 95 gr. Classic's to the 108 gr. Elites for, .2's to .4's,.. accuracy !
The 107 gr. SMK's Shoot, the Best, so Far ( One Hole,.. Low, 2's ! )

I've shot the 6 creed and 6x47
Both excellent and accurate rounds. Harder to find ($$) but the RL16 is better than H4350
Same or better speed with less pressure.
The 6x47 will do what the Creed can do with a little less powder.
If you are not worried about brass, then try the XC, sounds like a lot of people like it.
