Where to Spend $$$ For Accuracy?

Was wondering how people prioritize their dollars on a rifle build when accuracy is the primary objective. Do you prioritize one or two things (i.e., barrel, trigger, or...?) over something else (i.e., the stock, front rest, or...?). Or do you try to keep all components more or less on the same level quality wise (and $$$) as everything else? A custom chambered Bartlein with stellar trigger, put into an ordinary, non-bedded stock makes no more sense, than a stock Remington barreled action into a $1000+ stock or chassis sitting in a Farley front rest. How does one know where to spend to get the most for their dollars?

it sounds like “if I had a 1000 to spend, what do you spend it on” kind of question I’m guessing. One of my factory rifles I threw a kreiger and a great trigger on, lapped the lugs and is a tack driver. In my tiny brain I would say if your rifle is not accurate first, what’s the point

Weakest link always breaks first. If you expect the best results, don't cut ANY corners. Every discipline is different though..and requires more or less from the equipment and the shooter. BR is very much reliant on the best of all worlds....and ya still can't pull the trigger at the wrong time without making somebody ELSE happy.

Heck I have gotten many idea's from members right here on the forums! I would pick a good barrel...then the action
then always a good set of dies for making the ammo as perfect as you can...and of course the stock with bedding for
all the accuracy you can get. All the little things can turn into big things when it comes to accuracy.:D

FIRST: Decide what the build is for; SECOND: Find out what the winners are using in that discipline; Third: Get multiple replies from those people; FOURTH: What cartridge will you be using>>>>you can get that from the same people, FIFTH: Learn excellent loading techniques; FINALLY: Get a mentor to help you along the way! The last concept, a mentor, is the most important. He / She will save you LOTS of time, dollars and frustration! After that it's up to you to put the information into practice!

Barrel.

My Savage in aftermarket laminated stock (bedded), std. trigger, went from shooting 7s and 8s (factory barrel) to shooting repeatable mid-twos and low threes with new match barrel. Here are NINE 3-shot groups at 100 yards. Notice NO FLYERS. With the factory barrel there seemed to be one outlier in every group.
