Best Front rest for F class and Benchrest

If money were no object, looking for opinion on purchasing a front rest for multiple disciplines. I have a rifle that weighs approximately 22 #. I have a benchrest stock and a F class stock for the same action. I shoot 100, 300, and 600 yard benchrest and I'm also going to start shooting 600 and 1000 yard F class. I currently have a Farley coax rest but have been interested in getting the SEB MAX rest or something else. I need the rest to work for benchrest and f class shooting. I may end up keeping my Farley but thought I would see what experience people have with both or others.

Thanks,
Joe

So you think I should just stick with my Farley Butch? Have you possibly tried both? I have heard from some that the Seb is smoother. Not sure, I have never tried a Seb.

I Have a Seb Neo and a Farley. I used the Farley from 2004, but switched to the Neo in 2012. I prefer the Seb by a pretty significant margin. I mainly use the rest for BR, but have used it for F Class too.

I have a Farley I tuned up a bit. Butch's tension screws are a must for heavier guns. I spent a day trying different greases, moly-graph is the best grease to use inside the Farley that I have found. The grease makes a huge difference, moly-graph is a cheap grease but its smoother than the high dollar moly and teflon greases I tried. It makes small adjustments easy without the jerkyness. I tried teflon tape and clear stock tape inside on the plate, but the smoothest action is just moly-graph and no tape. Farleys are simple to open up and clean/re-grease, just leave the 2 screws on the bottom of the head alone, they hold the steel guide plate on the bottom. I have used a NEO and its nice, but not enough to make me switch. Plus I take pride in US made products, not knocking the NEO its very well made thats just a personal thing. IMO your scores/groups wont improve by switching.

I have a farley and have used the Seb's before. They are both great rests. I agree with Zfast, I don't see you gaining anything from switching. I would save your money and spend it on something that will better improve your scores.

IMO you are asking us a question that can only be truly answered by yourself. Farley makes a great rest as does Seb. There are also many great non joystick rest on the market that some shooters still prefer. If you have a Farley use it while your on the Seb waiting list. Once you get your Neo or Max try it out. If it turns out you like the Farley better I guarantee you will have no problems selling your Seb.

If you end of getting a SEB Neo and dont like it. I will buy it. Let me know! PLEASE!!!

7Stubby. Send me a PM with your information and I will keep the message in the event I decide to part with the NEO. I have a MAX and a NEO on order. I will try whichever comes first and cancel the order on the other one. Would you be interested in the MAX if that is the one I get?
