With the wait times for stocks, barrels and especially quality actions I am wondering about the accuracy of re-barreling an Accuracy International rifle. Obviously the trigger is not "target" like and the fore end is narrow. Let us say for the discussion that the shooter is able to attain a stable rifle position and not yank the trigger - would the accuracy potential of a competent gunsmith chambered (i.e. Bartlein 6XC) be anywhere close to a BAT action, Bartlein barrel in a Mcmillan stock at 600 or 1000 yards?
