Accuracy re-barrel question

With the wait times for stocks, barrels and especially quality actions I am wondering about the accuracy of re-barreling an Accuracy International rifle. Obviously the trigger is not "target" like and the fore end is narrow. Let us say for the discussion that the shooter is able to attain a stable rifle position and not yank the trigger - would the accuracy potential of a competent gunsmith chambered (i.e. Bartlein 6XC) be anywhere close to a BAT action, Bartlein barrel in a Mcmillan stock at 600 or 1000 yards?

My AI AE mk3, with factory bartlien6.5cm barrel, will shoot lo .2s of a bipod and beanbag prone. Not wallet group but pretty routinely, best is a .116". It has shot several 10 rd groups at 750-1000 and is ave around 1/2 moa, if i don't miss a wind change. The stocks are stronger then anything mcm or manners could come up with, viperskins makes a more ergonomic set of skins if the thumbhole doesn't do it for u. As far as the trigger goes its a 2stage. Mine is set at 1.1 lb first stage and 14 oz second stage. There is overtravel, no way of doing away with that. These rifles were designed for warfare. The key advantage to ai is that u can call up AINA or Dave Tooley and order a barrel that can spin on ur action and go shooting immediately. One pit fall to the ai is that to insure ignition in all conditions it uses a slightly oversized fp hole. This causes ruptures in small primers and kinda governs speed. I get 2810fps in a 24" barrel with 142 smk. I think Tooley and maybe surgeon will bush bolts. Ai case hardens the bolthead so most places are scared . Warner tool also does it.

When you say "6.5cm" do you mean 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 chrome moly? Forgive my lack of understanding and thanks for clarification.

Creedmoor. Unless it is unlimited 1k BR the AI AE gives up nothing to the bat/bart/mcm. The ai is better stocked, same barrel quality, and probably close if not equal in regards to action.
