When starting out what gave you the best accuracy return for the $

I also want to commend many of the previous posters in this thread.

There are many really rock solid posts in this thread -- with very good advice covering gear selection, reloading methods, wind-reading, gun-handling, and much more.

So kudos to the smart guys who have posted and shared their wisdom.

I would also add that my centerfire shooting improved dramatically after I did a lot of rimfire shooting. The rimfire shooting, even at 50 yards, revealed my gunhandling errors -- inconsistencies in holding the gun, head position, follow-through. Basically if I did ANYthing wrong, the mistake would show on the target. When I went back out to 600 yards, shooting centerfire 6BR, I noticed an immediate improvement. The long-range targets seemed bigger, LOL.
Agree 100% I’ve been shooting my vudoo 22 a lot in the past 2 days setup just like my tr rifle and I’ve noticed a few things that will definitely help me with my TR shooting.

I think the Trigger is one of the important things to upgrade. If you have the "boat anchor" for a trigger, I doubt the rifle stays on target when you apply pressure. There are lots of triggers in the $150 range that will help you improve.

I'll pick two, a good scale which can be a reasonable beam scale and using expander mandrel to get your neck tension perfect. You can get set up with a mandrel system for under $50.

Clays have been going down finally wind is picking up my reloads seem to be doing job

Redding Competition Seat die for every accurate rifle, controlled bullet depth seating. Cheapest accuracy I ever bought

so I find myself wondering what would give me the most improvement with my ability to make accurate loads. I know my biggest improvement will be my shooting ability and wind reading.

so what next best move when 3 is not looking

Switching out the expander ball on the depriming stem and went with using mandrels was a cheap help with accuracy and consistency.
