What's your fun gun?

I really shoot my .243 win the most. I can load it for what ever I want that day and low recoil and will still reach out there!

Winchester 1885 Low Wall with 28" #3 profile full octagon barrel and Schuetzen style wood and 28" MVA scope. Fun match is the 200m BPCR-style silhouette. Chickens off-hand at 50m, pigs, turkeys and rams off of sticks at 100/150/200m. Our match, not being registered, allows any rimfire any sights and we've added a prairie dog at 75m that is shot from any position with nothing but ones elbows for support. Match winner usually shoots in the low 40s when it is not too windy. Can get real interesting when the wind picks up.

The most fun rifle that I have *is* my latest competition rifle.

It's a 13.5 lb 220 Beggs. Flings a 53 grain bullet at 3500 fps. It recoils about an inch in the bags shooting full free recoil. Super easy to shoot.

I'm currently having a 30 Major AR built on a Defiance matched billet upper/lower pair. That should be fun. I hope to do some woods deer hunting with it this fall.

300 Remington Ultra Mag Savage Striker Hand gun. I tell them (IT ) shoots 98Gr of USA 869 with a 220 gr Bullet. little do they know its not what I have it loaded with. I cant find anybody to shoot it.
Good Shooting Larry

I always take either a 77/22, 10/22 tricked up with parts and Clark barrel, or my Kimber K22...I shoot these between strings to let barrel cool down on center fire rifles or comp gun.
Always a blast to practice long range with 22's (100 and 200 yds) !! Really have to watch the wind at 200 !!

I just screwed together my first 6BR.. ;D

Why this was not the first gun I built us beyond me. I only got to fire three shots in it Saturday before my girlfriend took it over. All 3 in the same hole. Going back this evening so I can shoot it!

My first rifle I ever purchased - a Chinese SKS. Fun to slap in a magazine and let her rip every once in a while.

Preacher built me a 25-06 and it is dialed in pretty well. I am saving it for hunting or it might replace my 6BR as a competition gun. Had some fun with it this morning getting info down in writing at various yardages for the upcoming deer season. Can't wait to whack one with it! My brother recently shot it at a fun match and did quite well. I knew it was shooting great and was afraid he would beat me :( With that being his first rifle competition ever, I would never heard the end of it :) Most any gun that shoots well is fun!!!

i got a 67 junior on my 5th bd and still have it, my dad had me learn to shoot 22 fired cases sitting on top of a tall grass stem. purchased a 69a with my first summer job money at King hardware in Atlanta the first one they got in after WWII still have it.

+1 on the 69a. Got one when I was 8 and still have it. Surprisingly accurate but it is pretty much a Model 75 action, as far as I can tell, which probably helps. I had a friend in my teens with a full target 75 and my 69a held its own.

My favorite fun gun is my Browning Buckmark varmint 22LR pistol. Has the 10 7/8" bull barrel and is extremely accurate. No need for hearing protection and small enough to take anywhere. I always keep it in the truck for gophers in the spring and grouse in the fall. Have taken both animals with it out to 50 yards. Got lucky one time and killed a gopher with it at 100 yards on the 3rd try, but I think a lot of luck helped me with that shot. Best truck gun for fun IMO :)

Mine was the AR-50 until I sold it. There is nothing like tapping off over 200gr. of powder and having a bullet that weighs more than a ounce. It was so much fun.

Will "More fun than a barrel full of monkeys" do? At present its my J.C. Higgins Mod. 30 rescued from a house fire & lovingly restored to like new. I take it to the woods behind my house & suddenly I'm transformed into a kid again. Can't get much more fun than that 8)

For now mines one of these three Kimber 1911's chambered in 45 acp.

Of course I'm thinking they will be replaced once my Ed Brown Special Forces arrives.
