What's going on with UPS and FedEx...if anything?

Fedex is now requiring adult signature items to be signed for with a valid ID. This changed about 18 months ago. Whether they always do it or not is a crap shoot.
I got some powder yesterday from them and they just had me sign.

All of the "108's" in our little subdivision know each other well swapping each others packages.

I have played hide and seek with FedEx and lost. Even though I stayed at home all day waiting on them for a redeliver attempt they said they attempted delivery and I was not there. They returned my bullets to the supplier and I had to pay the shipping costs twice. I sense is some FedEx laziness going on here. Water under the bridge. I have all my reloading components and ammo being delivered from suppliers that guarantee UPS non-signature. Am I paying a little more for shipping? In some cases yes. Is it worth it for me to stay away from stupid? Every penny!

@Idaho-Lefty efty I actually have a video recording from a UPS store. The owner and I were literally shouting at each other,(after he told me I couldn't read and called me stupid. As I was walking out the door.) So I came back in and he ran in back like a coward. They wouldn't ship a barrel blank.

@J_idaho that's a sad truth. I think a bunch of companies handed over documentation of certain sales for 80 percent lowers and other things a while back. Just handed them over. No subpoena or anything.

fedex a few days ago. incompetent desk clerk. I checked my address 20xs, it was correct. fellow and I did not really get along. after a bit, another fellow comes over, he does his magic, computer takes the input, all good. He was watching the first guy mess things up. I bit my lip for quite a while w first guy. the second guy did have to play w the input for an extra 30 seconds but it worked like a charm.

Over the past 5 years Fedex and UPS seemed to be hiring just one level above Meth Head for their drivers. Prime is maybe 2 levels above but not much better. I used to look forward to getting packages and at one time had drivers that knew how to read my signs and could actually stay on the gravel road without veering into the field while messing around with their phones. Now, I go out of my way to order from places that use USPS or I'll go to a flagship store 50 miles away to pick something up. I'm getting ready to ditch Chewy just cause of Fedex. I live down long and windy dirt roads and driving like a normal person seems to be above their skill level. I don't think they are asking you questions for any database, I think they are just nosy little SOBs and maybe after they inevitably get fired, they are making a map of places they can do some home invasions. I don't put anything past these guys.
yes, that is a real bad possibility. I think UPS is several notches above fedex, it sure is in DFW area.

I don't order any hazmat stuff but I get frequent UPS shipments. I haven't seen my UPS driver in months.

Ten years ago, about a 1/2 mile from my house one of the geniuses decided to put my 1000 rd box of ammo right in the middle of the road... which is in a giant field where one of my neighbors very far away can see that area at night if they use headlights... some home invaders tend not to use headlights... anyway. But earlier when I checked the website, it said "delivered" and it wasn't at the porch, that was my cue to begin the search. I have found packages further than that one from the house. My neighbor has sleeping problems and was watching tv and noticed lights out the window driving up to that point in the field where the box was dropped off and he said it was a small car. He said it did a 13 point turn to turn around from that spot and left.... approximately 2am.

So to me, the driver wanted to steal it later that night. This is before all the taking pictures to prove they delivered it, and this guy was so damn lazy he didn't even want to chance an encounter so that is why I think he dropped it off so far away. Nothing else could explain what happened. People that are lost will turn around well before they get to the field. I would not continue. Someone else who got to that point and wasn't looking for something specific might have kept going... so why turn around right there. lol anyway...

I had some female UPS driver knock on my door one winter night about 7pm and ask me to drive with her out to the main road cause she was so scared one time. A pack of dogs, I can tell they were about a mile off, but she thought they were not far, were howling in a frenzy and she had never heard that before.... that is enough to scare most people that don't live in the woods.

The worst part about delivery company’s is they take zero responsibility for damaged goods. I had a freight item delivered and it was completely obvious that they had damaged it with a forklift. They refused to do anything about it. After reading all the horror stories online I just gave up.

I guess I am very fortunate in living in a nice rural area that I do, as my UPS and FedX drivers are hunters, know me and I know them and we chat hunt/fish, etc. Never any issues with a delievery and they know where to put items when I am not at home to recieve them.

My mail lady recognizes when I’m receiving bullets or brass. She said that she has several shooters and reloaders on her route.

I ordered from Natchez a couple weeks ago. My order shipped FedEx and on the 18th got lost somewhere in Florida (I’m in Oregon). Lo and behold it should up last night. Look at the time….

Its pretty well known UPS Stores are franchises and do not ship gun "parts"

My UPS and FedEx drivers are great. My usps delivery is hit or miss depending on who has the route that day. FedEx uses delivery contractors. The turnover of drivers is high. If you get a good one treat him well.

FedEx and UPS no problems. USPS , a nightmare in my location. We have not had a regular person for 5 years since the last one who was great retired. Lots of neighbor to neighbor deliveries pretty much daily. Mail marked no known address even though we have lived here for close 25 years.

""What's going on with UPS and FedEx."" they both STINK !!! Think it is Bidbama !!! Say what you want things are going to get worse . !!

I just bought a die part from Midway and they shipped UPS Mail Innovations and it took 2 days to get to NC and 5 days to get to my house . I told Midway that if they are going to ship UPS MAIL Innovations I will not buy from them again !!
