For Steel shot, you can use IC for close shots but Modified is better for longer shots. Some guys use Imp Mod for real long shots.
Be sure your choke tubes are good for steel---some chokes are intended for lead only.

I like the patternmaster tubes...Code Black Goose...

Most of my goose hunting is pass shooting near reservoirs so the Goose tube is my main use with BB... for both ducks and goose over decoys I just use the standard IC or M with #4 and jump shooting the rivers and creeks I use #2 with IM tube mainly.

I have always used Brileys . I like Mod choke and BB for goose,IC and #4s for ducks . I live on the St. Lawrence river flyway ,tons of birds so no long shots needed.

I have never felt like I had a reason to not use the ones that come with Benelli shotguns, especially if you have the Crio-chokes. That said, for the money, Carlson's perform as good as any. Modified for steel or Hevi-Shot, if you want the tightest pattern for lead get the one down from the tightest one they make. The tightest one they have seems to be too much and just don't pattern as well.

Screw in chokes are a crap shoot and for best results you need to pattern them for any load you intend to use. Steel, Tungsten (Hevi shot or the other brands), Bismuth or blends all pattern differently, throw in different velocities, shot size and and the other variables like wads, primers and hulls and predictions are wishful. Factory loads are just as variable.

Another Pattern Master shooter here. Remington #2 Nitro Steel in my SP-10 with their "steel extra full" tube has left my blind mates shaking their heads from the ranges I have shot and killed Mallards and Canada geese at. 1100 2 3/4" #4 Nitro Steel and the same tube does equally however at lesser ranges. Gotta put the shot where the bird is.

I use a pattern master with BB and 2 for ducks and geese. Mine is a old super black eagle, Benelli. Works well when pass shooting.

I use Angle Port. Made in Arkansas. I shoot Beretta 12 ga with number 6’s. I have shot geese with BB and number 4 non toxic.

I have been shooting the same Benelli SBE2 sense 2007 for waterfowl, turkeys & crows. For steel shot waterfowl loads I have settled on a .713" dia. choke, some manufactures call this diameter an IC, others call it a Modified and some an Improved Modified choke. Also, I shoot a lot better using 3" waterfowl shotshells. The 3-1/2" shot shells just beats-up a person in my opinion.
I just purchased a couple of boxes of Boss Shotshells(Tunsten) to try on the Michigan's Late Goose Season in Feb. I will be using the Carlson "Mid Range" (.706" dia.) Choke with the Boss Shotshells.
The Benelli Super Black Eagles are a work horse in my opinion...

Trulock chokes are very good tubes which are made in Whigham, Georgia & are cheaper than Briley. I don't duck or goose hunt but I do use them for turkey hunting & sporting clays. They throw excellent patterns out of my Remington 12 gauges & Benelli 20 bore.

Chokes? What are those? Thought you just changed barrels. LOL!
A Browning Light 12 made in early 1964 (modified and skeet barrels) and an Auto 5 20GA from 1973 (modified) have seen most of my field use.
Well, I may have some Briley chokes as well that work for trap or sporting clays these days in other platforms.

Lots like reloading for a rifle, ya gotta test but Carlsons makes good tubes without being too expensive. They have several styles and the tweeners for most styles, like I/M and Light Full, etc. Not that you need either of those two but just that they offer just about everything without going with something like a proprietary Briley or similar.
