What 308 bullet were you using and what was the difference in accuracy and velocity between your 8208 load and your Varget load. if you don't mind sharing some load data.
Any info is appriciated

I am switching over to F-tr using the Berger 200gr Hybrid and have heard of some using 8208 with success.

Thanks

Joe,
Here's a picture from my notes that I took in January 2015. I was experimenting with different neck tension and had not yet cracked that nut. The second picture is after I got the neck tension thing resolved.

I tried 8208XBR with Juggernauts & came away believing H4895 works MUCH better with heavies.

Mostly I stick with < 156 grain bullets (98% Berger 155.5's, 1.5% Sierra 2156's) & for those 8208XBR works great. Seems too fast for anything > 168 IMHO but as yet I haven't tried it with some of the JLK 175 VLD'S I bought a bunch of years ago....

3 powders that give very simialar performance to Varget are Benchmark, H4895 and 8208XBR.
In Australia these powders are BM-2, 2206H and 8208XBR.

Cheers.
:)
