what to do with 5 lbs RL17...

I bought 5 lbs years ago and several 1lb containers as well. Works great as a hunting load for my 270 WSM....but I will not hunt that much the rest of my life!

So according to Accurates book, it has a load for 168 Grain 308. So i load some up and head to the range today. At max load with some crunch, I got several 3/4" groups, average just under an inch. This is in my Remington 700 practice rifle.

So...just going to burn it all at 100-300 yards practicing my form!

I have several...just 3 that I shoot a lot of! 223, 6BR and 308. All the others are hunting rifles, 270,30-06,270 WSM. Those get shot very little.

Just buy a target rifle that shoots rl17 like a 284. Problem solved keep the powder and build a 3000 dollar rifle. :

Re17 works well in 308 with heavy (175 and higher) bullets. Good accuracy as well. Also, 6.5/284, 284, 30-06, 280, 300 Weatherby Magnum with lighter bullets, .375 anything with heavy bullets, etc., etc,...
Anywhere 4350 is called for, Re17 will work...
