What reticle on newer style Nightforce competition to buy???

I'm in the market for a new Nightforce competition 15-55X52 scope and was curious what everyone's opinions are on the reticles. I intend on using this scope for a variety of shooting disciplines such as:

100, 200, 300, 600, 1000 yard group shooting and 300, 600, and 1000 yard f-class

I'm curious what reticle you guys think would work the best. I'm leaning toward the FCR-1.

Thanks for the advice,
Joe

I have the FCR-1 on mine. Mostly I like it, but on some targets it can be a bit "busy" visually with all the hash marks. Still, I think I prefer it to any of the other choices they offer.

Joe,
Of all the Competition reticles I prefer the FCR-1. The hash marks are not noticed by me since I am concentrating on the center line intersection and the point on the target I want to break my shot on. They can be handy on occasion though. Prior to switching to the 15-55x I was using BR 12-42x with the NPR-2.

I like the dot on mine. No clutter and dot is small but bold. I have the newest version which is said to be smaller than the first version. I think the scope in the movie is a NXS with npr2 or npr1 looks like to me.

Target dot for me too. I shot mine for the first time today. The dot seems smaller than the one on my Benchrest scope. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!

Got to look through them first to satisfy YOUR needs and desires. You're going to have to live with it. Choose correctly. :)

I would go look through them because it is a lot of money if you don't like it. I prefer a scope that is not all cluttered up with stuff. I shoot 1000 yard BR and like the DOT. Matt

I agree with Matt. You need to look at them all and see what you like and fits your style of shooting. I like the Dot for competition and varmint hunting. Some scoops have too much junk in them. You either hold over or dial it in.
