what glue to use ?

Link

Silver $$ Contributor
I asked this before but I guess I didn't elaborate. I popped the action out of my stock and it left the bed in perfect condition. All I want to do is glue it back in. I plan on grinding a gutter on each side of the bed to give excessive glue somewhere to go. I would like to use a product that is as thin as I can find [like paint] to avoid buildup. Suggestions please.

thanks Don

Jb weld every time. Tommy Mc

I am just curious here, but what particular type of JB Weld are we talking about? I have some Clear Weld Quick Set Epoxy and some Plastic Steel (or something along those lines), and probably others.

Thanks,
Richard

I think 2 part ''original cold weld'' that's what I have. If not I will have to buy something else.

Since the bedding was the glue holding your action in. You need to "re-bed" your action. Grind enough clearance areas for bedding, while leaving enough of the original bedding to support the action. If you do not use enough new bedding material, your action could come loose when you shoot it.
