I compete in IBS Score Competition with a 6 BR. As with any firearm competition there are a lot of steps involved in the loading and reloading process. I don't really "hate" any of them but, do dislike some more than others.

That said if I had to pick one that I dread the most (I guess), it is new brass prep. To preload for a 3 yardage Match, I have about195 cases. So starting with 200 new ones it takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get them neck turned, prepped, fire-formed, cleaned, resized, trimmed, etc., etc., and ready for Match usage.

The good news is that with minimum sizing along with annealing, a set will last a full season, sometimes two, so the whole new brass thing is infrequent. Yea!

Small pieces of egg shells in my scrambled eggs. There is nothing I hate about reloading, I find it very enjoyable. I do wish my chargemaster was immune to static electricity.

Store a static dryer sheet in the powder hopper when not in use and that should eliminate the powder static.

Setting, moving, and retrieving wind flags. Especially when it's 105F and blowing 20 mph in Midland.

There isn’t much about reloading I despise. Still load my high volume ammo on a single stage RC even though I own a Dillon 750. I just enjoy being in the man cave doing whatever. Maybe I’m a simpleton, I don’t know, I find the process therapeutic and enjoyable.

If you expand the subject outside of reloading then it wouldn’t be hard for me to pick a few things I despise, mostly today’s slimy politicians, government corruption and anybody who burns the flag. I’ll leave it at that, I could right a book along those lines.

I'd have to say trimming brass as well. I have a le wilson micrometer trimmer that I use by hand. Its just so damn time consuming. I'm looking at other options in the near future.

I'm with you, 100%! I hate trimming brass. Most of my chamberings have 40-degree shoulders because I find trimming so distasteful.

I hate that my abilities aren't yet where I want them; I want every case bumped the exact same, trimmed identically, and every bullet seated exactly the same. But that damn digital caliper keeps telling me I'm not there.
