What do you hate the most?

FL sizing, because I clean them before hand (and usually anneal) then clean after sizing to get all the lube off -- followed by trimming and deburring necks inside and out. Makes quantity loading a chore, makes me wish all my rifles had a 40 degree shoulder. Had a friend years ago who loaded new brass, neck sized it once and then threw it away. Wish I could afford to do that, but loading min. of 3000 rds. a year -- not very practical.

Sometimes metallic handloading is just plain tedious. I can't say I hate it, but at times it's sure not intellectually rewarding. Mindless.

I do detest loading shotshells, though. Did it, hate it, and quit. To me, a shotshell only needs to go "bang" and spray a cloud of shot. A shotgun is little more than a hunk of conduit screwed to a 2x4. :p Real shotgunners can call me a heretic, but I stopped using my MEC years ago. It gathered dust and I eventually sold it. Instead I just buy cheap shotshells. Not that I'm much of a shotgunner, but the urge to break things visits now and then. Fortunately, it subsides when the weather turns sucky.

I hate loading in high quantity. Seems like what I do but man does it get old. Ive loaded so many rounds now that I actually do not like loading much at all anymore. I do like load development! Also hate the smell of pinesol... fun fact
Those big batches of.223 on my single stage presses wear me out. I’ve even went to the Lyman M dies and Lee factory crimp dies to avoid the chamfering and deburring.

Assuming this thread is intended to restrict comments to reloading, I really don't "hate" reloading, but it has long lost its allure. I have it down to highly structured and refined process, boring as hell but necessary to produce the ammo I want and need. For me, it's like brushing my teeth, not fun but necessary.

But if force to pick one aspect of reloading I hate, it's when I do something stupid with my old hands and mind, like a powder spill.

I used to hate trimming brass because I did trim, chamfer and debur in 3 separate steps. Now I have a Forster 3-in-1 for every caliber I reload and in a weird way, I now find it enjoyable if not rewarding - the edges are all smooth and length is perfect every time.
Dang! Never heard of it. I've been using my old school Forster and chamfering the hard way. I will have to buy a few of these it seems . . . .
