WHAT CALIBER FOR A 20" BARREL ?????

What caliber would get me the highest velocity for medium pressure and medium weight vld bullets? A 6.5 Creedmoor, a 7-08 Rem, or a 308 Win. Will be target shooting with some hunting in this rifle. Weight of the rifle should be at 7lbs, and will be using a suppressor. The 20" barrel is because of the use of a suppressor.

Will be ordering a barrel this next Monday and putting the rifle together next weekend.

A dual purpose gun is going to be really good at neither. For hunting, I would do a 338 Federal. For target shooting, I would do a 6BRA.

Well he already decided...but I've used a couple of 22 inch 7-08 rifles & they were pretty sweet
