What are you working on this winter?

Next I used an EGW 20MOA base that I had to drill out for 8 size screws. I used Burris XTR High rings to secure a Burris 6.5 X 20X 50MM scope and off to the range. I mounted a piece of rail to the forend of the stock to be able to mount a bipod or a sling. I loaded up some Nosler 100gr. HPBTs with some varget and off to the range.

And the trigger is a Shilen that I also purchased from a member on this site. It was too windy at 200 yds to test there so I settled for a 100 yds to see what this $100. barrel will do. I can't complain.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I had a lot of fun putting this together, and the results made it well worth it. Now I have to do the other barrel in 6.5 creedmore for my friend in Ohio.

Next I am going to run some Nosler 140 gr HPBT thru it and see how they shoot.
This was a Shilen barrel that started life as a 260 Rem. it has an 8 twist.

Several projects going the main one is a RR700 single shot action, Jewell trigger, Mcmillan stock, Brux barrel. A couple days before Christmas I was dumb enough to buy a Savage Striker, my first one and yes I know about the triggers. The last couple days I've been fiddling with the trigger. Yep its enough to make the Pope say it. Next time I go to town I need to pick up some piano wire for a new spring.

BC, that's really nice, I can't say I have ever seen one of those on the street. When I was younger a couple of my friends had VW busses to bum around in. That one is reallt different.
