Don’t get me wrong, I really like remington. But I got this in my inbox from eurooptics. There’s no way people are buying these rifles.

Why do you think that? If you’re citing cost, just think about how people pay more than that for a watch. Some people have more dollars than sense.
Edited to add that actually I shouldn’t say that. If you have enough money, what harm does it do to spend it on something you like or want. And some people do have that much money. I couldn’t care less how they choose to spend it. . .

yeah I agree. I guess my question is what are you getting from this specific rifle? A GAP is a quarter of the cost and most likely has better components.
Since they were sold about 20 (?) years ago they have specialized in overpriced offerings. You can build twice the rifle, at one-third the price Remington is asking. Just look at their 1911.

The PRS has three different calibers in the kit. I think it has 308, 300 WM and 338 Lapua barrels with it and the tools need to make the change.
you’re right! Comparing it to a custom action, I’ll get some savings from just lapping the lugs, squaring up the face, and truing the threads. Way cheaper than a defiance!
What blows me away is Remington finally got to building something a lot of people want,
but are pricing themselves right out of a prime market.

I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money......But I DO have friends that are into sporting clays that have north of 30K into some of their guns and arent financially wounded from the purchase even a little. "Build It They Will Come"......When I go fishing I use BIG bait trying to catch the big fish...

I've seen that PSR kit selling for just over 10k on other sites. Comes with 3 barrels (308/300WM/338 LM) At least that's how I interpret the package. 2 magazines per caliber. I'm not saying it's a bargain but it's not as bad as it sounds from the picture of 1 rifle only.
