The writing on the box resembles Federal.

Not only the writing but I thought the cartridge carrier belt pack was a Federal thing also.

I don't know about anyone else, but I really like reading this type post they take me back to my childhood and teenage years and for a moment I can forget the troubles of the day.

Yes sir, Oklahoma Tire and Supply Co. On Saturdays when the folks went to town to shop for groceries and to do the laundry. I headed straight to the OTASCO store. This was in Ada, Okla.

As many memories as this post is generating makes me think it would be fun to have a thread with older original ammo boxes and gun boxes. As soon as I saw those boxes it was like being time warped back to my childhood. Fun!

you know how some remember the orange blossoms, some recall onion or mint muck farms? i have memories of early season hunting in east tenn... the smell of burley curing in old barns. small allotments that paid just enough to cover the property taxes, i was told.
