My first two or three guns came from Western Auto in West Monroe, Louisiana in the late 70s. That sure brings back some memories. I bet that is from the late 60s or early 70s judging by the graphics.

Those are probably early to mid 1970s. Western Auto a Kansas based company sold out to Sears in 1988. Winchester, Mossberg, and Stevens made ammo, rifles, shotguns for them under the Revelation name. I bought my first Remington XP100 Fireball from them in 1965. A custom order. That ammo box has a zip code. Zip code started in 1963.

They were a few left in the early 2000s when Advance Auto Parts purchased it from Sears and killed of the brand.

I think I may have a box of 12-gauge shells like that buried in my closet. Dad and I shot many boxes of their shot shells on rabbits and quail. Nostalgia at its best!

At about the age of 13, I would ride my bicycle 5 miles to town to purchase some .22 ammo at the Western Auto. If I recall correctly, a box of long rifle was $0.43. Things have changed in 65 years.

$7.79 if that is a price should be a clue as to the age. If i were to guess from the looks of the packaging i would have expected a lower price maybe i am off base but packaging says 70s, pricing, i would think is later

Got my first new bike from W.A. I'd wear out their Christmas catalog looking for what I wanted.

I knew someone that owned a Whites (Western Auto competitor) when they went out of business and picked up a lot of stuff at over 50% off. My wife never let me go near the gun counter!

Bought my first Browning shot gun from them in 1965. That gun sure brings back the memories. Paid 205.00 for it back then.

Glad to hear somebody else admit to shooting shorts. Longs and long rifles were only available around Christmas and birthdays.
