Hi Everyone,

I'm Jake,

I've been reloading for a few years on and off. I currently use a TC Encore platform and reload for 338-06 (match grade machine custom) and 7mm mag. I also reload for a model 70 30-06 and Savage Axis 7mm-08.

I use a single stage Lee Precision Challenger, old school RCBS 10-10 scale and a bunch of other fun gadgets. I've been idle for a few years but have gotten the itch recently to get back into it as I have a nice indoor 100 yard range near me.

Looking forward to discussing different powders/bullets and ballistics with all of the great folks and knowledge on this platform.

Im looking for a .308 subsonic recipe for 100-200 yds! Have never loaded sub ammo! Any ideas? ‍

Hi everyone, Norm here, from the Monterey Bay Area of California. I’ve been on Calguns but their server is hit or miss, and I keep coming across great posts on Accurate Shooter so finally joined.

I actually first started reloading M2 ball equivalent with my Dad for service rifle matches when I was 7 in 1963 believe it or not, but didn’t start reloading for myself until 1999. I reload on a 550B (upgraded to the “C” lower chassis) and a Co-Ax and Lee Classic Cast. Also have a MEC Jr. 600 and am shopping for an arbor press now.

I’m joining primarily because I know nothing about precision rifle shooting, as I’ve been shooting AR’s and Garands for the most part, with only a Mosin and Savage Scout and Winchester .22’s for bolt guns.

I’m hoping to learn enough to get a good rifle built without overpaying, so I’m starting reviewing stocks, actions & barrels, and calibers of course. Thinking I would start simple with a 6.5CM, but know I’m drinking from a firehose here! Scopes will be a whole other thing.

Anyway, apologies in advance for all the dumb questions I’ll probably be asking. But hope I can occasionally offer some good info. ‍(?)

My Dad’s dream rifle, and the one he did the most load development on. I still have boxes of .264 brass and loaded rounds in old Remington-Peters boxes, waiting for the day I find your rifle!

Hello All, Kevin here. I live in Colorado Springs. I have finally sorted through all my Dad's firearms "stuff", put aside what I want to keep and will be looking to start posting "for sale" reloading dies, presses, "antique" powder measures, parts and eventually firearms. Between what he has and what he inherited from a buddy, I have lot of stuff of many calibers, types, you name it. As I venture into the for sale forum, please take a look!

Started with a Lee Loader for the 44 Mag.
Switched to a Rockchucker shortly thereafter.
Mainly load 44 Mag , 30/06 , 9mm and 45ACP.
Just bought a Savage 17 Hornet and stocking up on powder and bullets now.

My name is John. I joined the forum because i want to get into long range shooting.
As far as reloading goes, I have some experience in reloading .223, .30-06, 9mm, 12 Ga

I don't have a dedicated reloading bench, due to living in an apartment, so I improvise with the Lee hand press at my kitchen table. It's better than nothing, but it gets the job done.

I recently joined this site and found this forum.
I have been reloading for 19 years and have loaded over 75,000 rounds.
I have loaded for 7 pistol calibers and 8 rifle calibers.
I have primarily loaded for target rifles in the last 15 years - mostly .223, 6.5mm CM, and .308.
I have worn out two barrels and replaced them. My latest was for a Savage 12 FV .223 Rem 26-inch 1:9twist with a 26-inch Shilen Select Match 416R Stainless Steel 1:7 twist.
I have been reloading using Optimum Bullet Time (often referred to as Exit Time) since 2014 and have found it has shown significant benefits. I have used that technique with 9 new rifles and within one session, I had the 5-round group sizes about down to the minimum with the bullets I was shooting.

I've been impressed with the posts I have read so far and am happy to be joining a forum with a cadre of experienced reloaders.
