Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hello everyone, new to the forum and have only been reloading for a few months. It’s something I absolutely fell in love with! A coworker turn me on to this forum explaining the wealth of knowledge found here. I look forward to great conversation and thanks for having me.

Time to say "Hello" after reading for several years and not contributing. My excuse is that I still have more to learn than to teach.

I load .223 for Service Rifle and for Midrange Prone, and 30-06 for the Garand. Used to load a lot of .357 mag, .38 special, 9x19, and 45 ACP but not so much any more.

Thanks for a wonderful, informative site.

Greetings,

I am new to the forum... I have been putting off getting into reloading for some time, and now that I nearly have all of my supply chain in order, I cannot seem to find any powder or bullets.

Can anyone recommend where I can find reloading powder?

Thank you.

Powder and bullets are showing up on a weekly basis at several suppliers but they sell out pretty fast and there are usually some pretty small quantity limits intended to prevent most of the supply from ending up resold on GunBroker etc. Ammoseek.com website can help you with some alerts for up to 10 specific items. Good luck finding your components, and welcome to the forum.

Thank you very much for the quick reply!

I will share my experiences.

Thanks to forum boss for the prompt approval. A forum to have intelligent discussions on shooting and reloading is exactly what I've been looking for. There used to be a couple decent pages on Fb, but I broke it off with Zuck back in January for multiple reasons. I've been on the mewe for awhile, but intelligent discussions over there are few and far between. I've been loading for only a few years and I like learning and trying new stuff, and long walks on the beach at sunset. I mainly load 223, 243, 9mm, 38's and 45acp, but I occasionally load a few other calibers.

G’day from Australia, handload for years with a big break from both loading and shooting until 18 months ago where I broke the old gear out of storage, bought some new gear and started back into it.

Its different now, back then I was loading to shoot, now I’m loading because I enjoy it, my patience, OCD and thirst for knowledge and perfection is pushing me further and further down the rabbit hole......

The precision gear thats out there today and the global connectivity of knowledge is incredible.

I guess the Internet is good for something. Enjoy the day.

Hello, New to the forum and relatively new to reloading. I have been using a single stage press to load, and recently came across a bargain in a Dillon 550B 4 stage press. Question, will Lee Dies work in this press? The powder dispensing die looks significantly different than the than the one in Dillon die set that came with the press. Would like to hear from anyone who could give me guidance in this area.
Thanks

Hi from Cajun Country (SW La.)
I stumbled on to this site yesterday. Looks like a good place with good folks. I don't post a lot mostly just like what others have to say. I'm retired and kinda' old (78). Been reloading about 25 yrs. .38/.357,.44mag,.45colt,9mm.,.40s&w,.223,.270,.45/70 Also like to cast my own.

New member and just upgraded to Gold as I know I will find much valuable info here. I started reloading 10 years ago with a very cheap Lee press, ran thousands of .223 and sometimes I wanted to thro that thing off the Tobin Bridge. Fast forward to this year, I have since moved to NV from MA to escape communism and my ex wife. Yesterday my new wife made me purchase an XL650 with many extras, as well as 25k+ primers and bullets. I have 4 complete setups, 5.56, 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP. All from an estate aution and most of this stuff was unopened. I do have experience with the 5.56 but am new to everything else. Cant wait to get back up and loading! I am sure I will have many questions and hope to more to offer as well. Thank, Chris. 20210811_123152.jpg

Hello all! I'm pretty new here, been reading the forum to get my 17 Hornet loading figured out... it's a tough cartridge to get an accurate load figured out. Pushing my skills to a new level, with more brass prep, a new A&D digital scale for more accurate charges, learning to do seating depth tests with more full range, etc.

I'm hoping to figure out better loads for a 7.62x39 AR 16" carbine, with Nosler 123 Varm .310 bullets.

The original articles that got me to Accurate Shooter was for the 20 Practical round, and got hooked on my first venture into a wildcat round. I ended up buying an already built upper with 20" WOA barrel, including Redding S die with neck-down bushings from a guy on Armslist, $400, and love it!

Thanks for posting this. I have had miserable results with my 6.8 using factory ammo.
My group was a 4 inch square. Thought it was me, but repeated time after time.

Greetings from South Florida
Brand new forum member, new to reloading, but long time shooter.
Have successfully reloaded .45 Colt and .357 Mag and Resized and primed my first rifle brass this morning (.223 Rem). Hope to learn a lot and hopefully contribute a little.

Hello all,
I'm just getting back into reloading for my hand guns that I have acquired recently.
My wife and I lost everything in the Camp Fire back in 2018.
I won't go into it other than to say, I lost a lifetime worth of tools, machine tools and all my reloading gear.
I have found it very difficult to acquire presses, dies, primers, powder, brass, bullets and on and on.
I sure hope things get better soon.
I just want to be able to shoot my 9mm, 40SW and my 38 Special.
It appears I should have bought a 10MM as I see it everywhere :)

Hey shooters, David Greer. I'm learning more and more about reloading and love it. It has me wanting to learn more about shooting and how to get the most out of your rifles and techniques used by shooters much better than me. Glad to join hope I can add something to the group as well.

I don’t know what barrel you have on there but I have two rifles one with a 18” arp melonite 3r barrel w/ the super bolt that shots as good as the 20” stag barrel in ss both are good.
