Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Howdy All! The Coach here from NW Wyoming
Just want to say this is an awesome forum. Everytime I think to ask a a question I do a diligent search and find the info I'm looking for.
I took some time off from reloading due to issues and fears at home.
I recently started competing in tactical and precision rifle, with if I do say so myself, great success.
I'm starting from scratch all over again this time with a more serious emphasis on precise, repeatable results.

Hello
I've been reloading since 1975. I always had a pension for accuracy, but never seriously pursued until recently.
I'm working on a load for 6.5 Creedmore. The rifle is a Savage model 12 LRP.

Hi everyone , new to the site and wanting to branch out on my reloading skills, iam also new to the 5.56/223 ar platform and needing to be schooled with knowledge, and my computer skills are not that great so please bare with this old man.

New guy here, long time reloader. We have a full on machine shop, all process welding,pro-cabinet woodshop....decent sheet metal capabilities as well.

Am here to ask a few questions, trying to "up" our reloading.Have been lurking for years.Recognize a bunch of ya'll from other, technical loading sites.BW

I'm Trixinman, but you can refer to me as Scott. I would like info on re-sizing 338 Lapua brass to 30-338 Lapua mag. I've read the great article found on this site, but apparently there must be more than 1 Hornady 30 cal. NS die. Mine is too small for the 338 case to pass past the shoulder. Anyone know what product I need,Hornady or other to perform the 1st step???

Hello everyone. The name is Paul but I have answered to a number of different names in my life.
I am new here but been reloading since 1968. I load all my ammo except rim fire and I have developed a 22 Long Rifle round that is a center fire so I can load it too. Sadly it can only be fired in my TC with the center fire pin engaged.
I compete in small bore silhouette and Hunters Pistol. I am gearing up for three gun.
I am old, sometimes cranky, and more often than not in pain. I am still trying to recover from a back injury and two surgeries. I keep telling myself that I will get better and so far it is working, most days.
I hope to learn some new tricks and provide my opinions when called on. Other than that you can ignore my and I'll be fine. I'll contribute if I feel the urge and you can feel free to call me out if I make a mistake - it has been known to happen.
If you think I've insulted you, you probably read more into what I wrote than I intended. I don't always use those cute smileys. I don't insult easily and don't expect others to be hurt easily either. My wife tells me I have a "dry" sense of humor.
Anyway, That's enough rambling.

Hello everyone. I have been reading this site for a while and just thought I would say hello.
I am into custom guns and fixing to get into F-class. Picked up a 7mm SAUM to shoot.
Anyone on here from Southern Colorado?

Hey everyone, I've been reading this site for a while, but just starting to get into reloading and long range shooting with my 6.5 Creedmoor. If there's any reloading vets in the south Denver suburban area that would like to teach a newbie how to reload I've got a 6 pack with his name on it.

Hi Guys,

Really like the look of the site and the free exchange of information between interested parties.

I'm a long time shooter, but am starting to focus more on the precision end of the scale, so hope to share knowledge accordingly. I must admit to being a little envious of the selection of goodies you have free access to in the USA. It's getting harder and harder to source quality brass and bullets etc. over here in the U.K.

Keep up the good work!

Gents,

I've never reloaded a single round. I sold my RCBS rockchucker supreme about a year ago, then about four months after that decided on a 300 win mag build. My .308 is built on a Stiller Tac 30 action and will hold a half minute with factory ammo out to 800. That said, EVERYONE I talk to has said I need to start rolling my own to really make sure that that "flier" was me, and not "bulk" ammo. If I'm going to do it, I might as well do it right, so right now I'm looking at a Forster press and Whidden dies (he's a great American, and a real gent), Berger bullets, and eventually Lapua brass. If you all have any recommendations as to processes, equipment, etc., remember that I know nothing.

God bless America,

Scarface 26

Great choices, Scarface. I wouldn't change a thing.

Others, however, may differ.

Hi all,

Collin from Australia here. Relatively new to shooting (only been 3 years) and completely green to reloading. Really looking forward to getting my hands dirty!

Welcome Collin! go wash your hands - no dirty hands at the reloading bench. Dirty fingers contaminate lots of stuff at the bench.
Remember that you will have to turn all our examples upside down so they work on the "bottom of the world. :)

Been on forums for a little while. Reloaded 20 years ago or more with a friend. Getting back in as a relaxation thing. Also have custom guns that deserve hand loads.
Will be using mostly RCBS. 308 and 257 Weatherby.
Lots of questions will be asked.

64 yo from Calgary, Alberta. Have been reloading for 2 years now and have come across this forum many times looking for answers. In fact that's what made me join I needed an answer to a question that was being discussed here. I'd like to think that I'm part sponge, I can't wait to find new info or theories on reloading and shooting.
Great forum you have here.

Hi there, i appear to have stumbled on a really great forum, so hopefully there aren't too many flamers for noobs.

I have an Izhmash Tigr that I want to develop a load for (7.62x54r) which isn't overly accurate and I also recently obtained a Sabatti STR .308 win that I want to develop.

If there's anyone out there with a heap of info to help I will be looking for you!

All the best

G

My name is Wiljan. Shooting a Sako TRG 22 with 20" barrel, and a Grünel ST200 with 26" barrel both .308Win. I'm reloading for both rifles since 2008.
I hope to find a lot of extra info, and talking to like minded sportshooters.
