Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Cant stands it no more. New BVSS ,223 Rem , loads rolled, and just want a temp above 45F to begin breaking it in.

Great site and finding a vault of info throughout.

I'm shooting a .220 Rocket and a .223Rem WOA and hope shortly to enter the 6 world.

Hi everyone.
I am from Down Under.

Hi gang!

I've lurked and researched here for a couple years and was recently asked why the heck I'm not registered here. So here I am.

I'm not a bench rest type but do like to squeeze as much accuracy out of a rifle as I can get. As they say, only accurate rifles are interesting.

This is one of the best resources for guys with the nitpicky inclinations toward their brass!

I'm on other boards that some may frown on; ar15forum, M14forum, snipershide, rimfire central, nationalmatch, long range rifles, and have various user names.

Anyways, thanks for a great resource for reaching the pinnacle of accuracy.

Short Round

hello all. new to the site. found it while i was researching stocks for a project rifle. i have been loading and shooting for quite a while now. if it has a trigger i will pull it. from rifles, shot guns, and pistols, to my other hobby paintball. as for reloading i have only loaded for .243, untill last yr. the wife bought me a .223 that i am now still testing loads for. i had a old flame rekindeled last yr when i found a 1000yr range and joined it. hence the project. i will be doing alot of reading on here in the attempt to find new information out. and it looks like theres alot to be had here, thank you for that. i will share anything i can.

This is a great looking site. My handle is Trooper and I live north of the 49th (Alberta,Canada) I've been shooting, hunting and reloading for a decade or more. I like to find and experiment with loads for my various calibers. My favorite is my .308win, but I've just recently picked up a Mosin Nagant that I want to find reloading data for.

Hello all, Bill Here just starting up in shooting 300 meter using 6br, will be using 1-8 barrel 105 proj, have boat tails berger and Hornady amax but was wondering about 105 flat base, any ideas?

Hey everbody, this is Mark in New Mexico. I like to shoot alot, as all of you do. Going to be getting into F class this year. Can't wait.

have you ever used long grain rice

Hi i am from down under australia that is and have had a rifle from the age of 6 so for the last 54 years i have put a few rounds down the barrel of a gun,i am an avid reloader ,my favourite caliber is the .243 ackley where we go hunting is central qld a lot of very fine dust that gets into everything rubs your brass raw, well getting back to the long grain rice, sick of buying media, well fill your tumbler with rice two tablespoons of brace conditioner or cleaner and let the rice do its job,one hitch you will get a rice grain in the primer hole some times but as i love reloading and it is a great place to be mentally a few more minutes in the reloading room does'nt matter, when the rice is black throw it out or relaod your shot gun shells with it and shoot a few rats or mice.nice to join you guys and gals we dont have this in aussy, people would think you are a redneck.

New guy...hello. I live in Mn. and have been interested in accurate rifles since a guy at the range got me hooked. Bob Wallace was kind enough to give me advise and steer me into reloading and precision shooting, bless his soul. Of course it could have been a curse too ;D ;D
I currently shoot a Savage 10FCP HS in .308 and 6.5CSS and I am researching a custom build in 6BR for 300 to 600yd shooting. Lots to learn and I will be reading and using the search engine.
Thanks
Ron

Hi I was looking for some information on a new (to me) cartridge. Lurked here before and decided this was the best place to find some information.
I'm from Michigan and shoot mostly single shot pistol and rifle.
Thanks,
Steve

Hello from central Texas. I have been reloading since 1966 and reload a variety of rifle and pistol cartridges. Since I am retired, I get to shoot and hunt year round.

This looks like a great place for discussing things that interest me.

Hello, I am an old grandpa from Finland with bad English-language. I have only 6 short-
and 8 long gun, because I am not collector. Also my wife is not so gentle.

Hello. I'm new to the forum but have been visiting the site for some time now. I've only been loading for a little over a year but find it to be as enjoyable (or more so) than shooting. Looking forward to learning from you experience and contributing when possible.

Hi everyone,!!.. :o. WOW, :o what an impressive WEB Site! I've been shooting ever since I was legal and reloading for the past 30 + years....Handguns, shotguns and rifles. As of yet, I don't own any "target rifles" per say,. ::)..GAWWWWWD ONLY KNOWS how much I'm lookin tho...lmao.... but all my hunting rigs will shoot SMA @ 100 yds , and a couple @ 200 yds. With Sooo much knowledge and info around here, I can certainly see me getting the skinny on one pretty soon tho! ;D Lookin forward to chattin with some of you later on. Best of health and luck to you all!! ;D

Hey guys. I'm Walt. My personal interests include wine, women, song and reloading.

I've been reloading for about a year now and feel that I have a decent grasp of the basic concepts (haven't blown myself up yet), though I'm self-taught. Just as I'm trying to improve my long range shooting game by learning how to better read the wind and estimate distance, I also want to become more competent and consistent as a reloader. I'm hoping to learn from you guys, figure out what I'm doing wrong and find new/better ways of doing things.

No worries.

Hello Everyone,
I'm another newby to this forum and just purchased my first 6mmBR rifle. I have been involved in shooting all sorts of different weapons for more than 50 years and am retired after more than 31 years in Law enforcement. Since I retired, I have taken up reloading (in rifle calibers), something I never had time or inkling to do. But precision and accurate shooting has always been "my thing" and Benchrest shooting looks to be the way to go. And I'm doing this PURELY for enjoyment, not formal competition. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to competing and my main goal is better myself and my loads for the infamous "five shot one holer."

I have a friend who competes and is helping me learn "the ropes" of extreme accuracy in 6mmbr. But his method of shooting drives me up a wall because I believe in "shouldering a weapon" whenever you shoot and sitting in a chair next to your weapon and reaching in and touching the trigger just doesn't warm the coddles of my heart one bit. Now I am not knocking him or anyone that shoots that way, but it just isn't "my thing." SO any help or suggestions would be much appreciated as well as the consideration that I now know enough to be dangerous.

My best to all of you and this grandfather looks forward to learning from many of you. I'm a strong believer that if you haven't learned something new today, you've just wasted a day in your life. Thx folks!
