Hello, everyone.I'm untailly, a new comer to this forum .Glad to be here . Looking forward to your sharing and our discussion

Hello, I am new to this forum. Been shooting and reloading since 1960 as a young teenager. I've always been interested in getting the most out of whatever I was shooting, accuracy wise. I am into hunting, rifle and handgun, and IDPA. The IDPA is great and allows one to learn to handle and shoot a handgun in self defense scenarios. I've done handgun silhouette and NRA smallbore competition.

Howdy !

I've been a shooter and wildcat developer for 35yr.

Large background in groundhog shooting, and local paper shoots.

Retired MIL after 37yr service.

Hello to all !

Regards,

I'm Iron worker I load and shoot a 223 AR-15 RRAs coyote.A Accurized Rem 700 Hart bbl 6x284 that's "Bad to the bone". Also a recently glass bedded Win Mod 70 classic in 270 WSM. Lately Re#25 is showing potential .I don't know what my next gun will be.

Hi Guys...newbie to precision rifle shooting. Just completed new 6mmBR, Kreiger 22" 1-14, McMillan Stock, Jewel trigger, Farley RB/LP action.

Looking to shoot the 55-70gr bullets out to 300 yards or so initially. Also have a 6mm PPC barrel for down the road when I've gotten a bit more experience. I'm a retired Navy pilot moving to Vegas in the next few months from CA...They seem to speak guns there a bit more easily than in CA. Been into pistols and reloading for them up to now. Pistol stable includes HK Mk23/Colt 1911/Sig 1911/HK USP Expert/Ruger GP100/S&W Mk41/Sig P226. Hope to take max advantage of the wealth of experience here to get the 6mmBR game going both shooting and reloading.

Hi, New to reloading and f class shooting. I shoot a Sako trg22 w/ NF 5.5- 22x56mm. Hoping to find answers from eperienced re loaders and competitors.

Howdy,

Been a pd hunter for a few years, mostly 22 caliber guns, all accurate out to 500 yards.

Recently purchased a savage 6.5x284 and a custom 243ai that I've started working loads up for.

Hello to all!
I am new to the Forum. I am an avid shooter, hunter and fisherman. And presently instruct law enforcement and government agency AR-15/16 Armorer Classes and weapon schools throughout the US. I was the National Director of LE Sales and Training for a major AR Manufacturer for 6.5 years prior to going to training full time, and love the AR Rifle weapon platform. Since I recently became the proud owner of a Sabre Defence Industries AR Rifle 18" Comp. Lt Weight Varmint Rifle in 6.5 Grendel. I have been looking for a good Forum that has discussions on the 6.5 Grendel round and reloading issues. Looking forward to speaking with other members of the Forum.

Im new here. Looking at starting to reload for my LR243. Right now I use a Dillon 650 to load lots of .45 colt and .38spl for Cowboy matches.

I dont really know what it will take to set myself up for .243 so im coming here to learn. I guess I will buy a single stage press.

Hi my name is Frank,i have been a shooter and reloader since 15 years of age.I got into heavy barreled varmit rifles around 10-11 years ago and that led me into the surch for the ulitmate in rifle accuracy witch lead to benchrest rifles and loading technics,i just never got into the benchrest game(just did not like it)but the rifles and loading technics i bought them all.now i cant even load for my deer rifle with out doing all the case prep, but my factory deer rifle will shoot sub 1/2'' at 100yds with my loads. I belive the 6mm BR to be the ultimate varmit/target cartridge. Yep i love my BR! My way of think -n- if you aint shoot-n- a 6br you are lost or maybe just experimenting, looking for something better or different.

Im now in my mid 40s. and thinking of a 6-284 or 243 1-8 twist .for beyond the 600yd mark.

only thing missing is the campfire and beer(any 6br shooters in this crowd) that gets it started! Frank.

Hello fellow enthusiasts I'm Rob,

Another noob to this forum but far from a noob to the shooting sports. My earliest memories go back to gun in hand and the smell of spent powder. Grew up in the PNW hunting and fishing with my Dad who was an avid sportsmen and excellent marksman.. One of my best shooting memories with Dad was when I was ten or eleven and we were deer hunting in eastern Wash. Then, dad had a sporterized 03 in ott6 with a Weaver K-2.5 and fine cross hair, back then ranging reticles were nowhere to be found in the sporting arena. Dad had glassed a nice muley across a draw, I could barely see it but he could very well. I thought for sure he had missed it at that range with such basic apparatus, about an hour later we finally got to it and it was dropped right where it was standing. One shot one kill with 180 gr. at 600 yards.

I'm 56 now, I still have that rifle but in .35 Whelen. My safe is over flowing with various makes and calibers but my favorites are in order of delight : 40X in .308, Mod.70 and Rem. 700 both in 7mmDakota, .300 WM Sendero, .223 Sendero and my Sako 75III Varminter in 6PPC USA. All are in custom sniper, bench and heavy barreled platforms except my Dads 03 and my Sako. Favorite past times: load developing acquiring one hole accuracy, varmint and fly shooting, hunting and fishing with my boys and perfecting my shooting skills and reloading.

Hello to all,

I know less than many and more than some. I'm always looking to learn more.

For me, reloading is not my hobby - it helps make it more affordable and get the results I hope for. Time at the bench is time well spent. Almost as good as time behind a trigger :)

Hi Fellas'
I started reloading in 72' for my 22-250 and .270win. Over the years I've reloaded for 22-250, 22-250AI, 243win, 270win, 308win, 30:06, 7mm mag, 300 Weatherby, 30 carbine, 223, 30 Herrit, 357mag, 9mm, 380ACP, 40s&w, and now the 6.5x47L, that's the cartridge that brings me here. Even after all this time I learn something new each day, read a new article, try a new powder, I never ends.... It's been a life-long very enjoyable hobby. Thanks, Desert

Hi to all,

Not new to reloading, but have been away from reloading since I moved into a new home...about 8 years. Just uncovered my stash of primers, ammo, brass and more stuff than I knew I had and hadn't seen for years. Starting to set up the presses again to get back on track.

Looking forward to picking the collective brain here on the forum.

Bruce Eaton here. Retired U.S.M.C. after 26 years 25 years ago. Reload to refine loadings for my firearms. Unfortunately live in the land of fruits and nuts where the liberals are trying to take my guns or make it difficult to buy ammo. I'm getting a little long in the tooth to hunt anymore but I enjoy poking holes in targets still. Got my first centerfire at 10 and been at it ever since. Question for the day; I was given a bunch of Hornady 168 gr AMAX in .308 I know this bullet was developed for the M-1 but I want to try it in my model 700 that retired with me. Can I use loading data for 265 grain BTHP without a problem?
